Sure, I'll be getting the iPad 2. The front facing camera is a winner for me.
I'm not sure why people see the iPad as purely a consumption device, I use it extensively for work. Sure it's great for hotel rooms too, but it's just so much more ergonomically friendly than a notebook. It's much easier to pull it out while standing up, use a to do list, read e mails while standing, write replies while sitting in the car (the steering wheel gets in the way with a laptop, unless I constantly shift the seat), I could go on. The battery life is just king, especially when it comes to writing and then giving presentations. I"ve not gone through a working day yet where the iPad has died on me. I've got it down to circa 12% once I think.
The iPad for me is a fantastic work horse. The air is great for when I need to use the functionality of a full sized laptop. Hell if I want to type fast I just pull out the bluetooth keyboard most of the time (touch typist).
