I don't think that I'm gonna get the next iPad. I'm perfectly happy with this one. I really only use it for couch browsing and reading books.
I have good eyes and I don't mind turning the font up a few sizes to make up for the low resolution.

Run flash? Who the hell cares about flash - it's an outdated **** technology. It's also a huge drain on the battery!

A lot of people care about flash. I would consider buying an ipad if I could experience the internet completely like even my phone can. Would also like it if apple loosened their reigns a bit like android but that would be asking for too much

Sure, I'll be getting the iPad 2. The front facing camera is a winner for me.

I'm not sure why people see the iPad as purely a consumption device, I use it extensively for work. Sure it's great for hotel rooms too, but it's just so much more ergonomically friendly than a notebook. It's much easier to pull it out while standing up, use a to do list, read e mails while standing, write replies while sitting in the car (the steering wheel gets in the way with a laptop, unless I constantly shift the seat), I could go on. The battery life is just king, especially when it comes to writing and then giving presentations. I"ve not gone through a working day yet where the iPad has died on me. I've got it down to circa 12% once I think.

The iPad for me is a fantastic work horse. The air is great for when I need to use the functionality of a full sized laptop. Hell if I want to type fast I just pull out the bluetooth keyboard most of the time (touch typist).
