If you buy now, you can get a free ($100) printer, a free ($200) iPod, $110 off Apple care...

Applecare is always less for students; the $110 off for students is not a rebate, it's simply the price on it. As for the printer, that too is around most of the time. The OP would get about $200 worth of stuff now, and have to pay about $69 more later. Still worth it in my opinion. Otherwise, I enjoyed your reasoning as to why the OP should buy now. In fact, I used it myself to justify my mbp purchase in early June:p

Thanks!

I do not NEED a new computer right now considering I still have a somewhat working PC. (ugh!) But I think I am going to buy now. I thought leopard would be a lot more than $69, so I'm kinda happy about that and updates are never certain until announced.

Thank you guys for all your opinions. It helped a lot. :)

That's why I said correct me if I am wrong above that, I kind of figured thats how it was, thank!

How are you liking the new MBP? and congrats, just got mine in a few days ago.

Leopard is $69 for those lucky enough to have access to the Edu discount, $129 for the retail version. Apple sure does spoil it's users as far as OS updates are concerned (both price and features).

I love it! It's super fast and I haven't had any issues with it yet. Everyday I thank my past self for not holding out forever. I feel I really did get a superior product that I was able to start enjoying right away. I can't recommend it enough:D
