It seems I got all my @icloud.com mapping, finally. I am able to both receive at my @icloud.com email and also login to iCloud.com via @icloud.com username.

Now, I noticed I originally had both @me.com and @icloud.com for my alias, but when I deleted it and created it again, I only had @icloud.com for that alias.

Now I want to know how I can get rid of the @me.com of my main mail name (i.e. I want to keep @icloud.com stuff only).

you're a step ahead of me. i can log into iCloud but can't receive any mails there yet, they get bounced back with an illegal alias error. hoping it's coming soon

I've been able to do pretty much everything iCloud-related using my @icloud.com username for a while now (about a month) with one exception: sending emails.

I could log in to iCloud using the @icloud.com equivalent of my @me.com username, receive emails sent to it (received in my "universal" iCloud inbox), fiddle with mail settings on my phone to make it the default "From:" address, etc., but I couldn't send anything from it...until just now. Looks like the roll-out has extended to my account. Still haven't received the "official" email though (but I'm not sweatin' that).

icloud.com email

I just notice I can now send an email from my old
@me.com using @icloud.com

I have a few mailboxes with the @me.com address and prefer that. I wish all of my addresses could be set up like that but any new ones are @icloud.com

It seems I can send and receive from my @icloud.com e-mail address. However, when I log in to the iCloud.com website, I cannot access the e-mail function there. I just get the message that says, "iCloud Email Needed. To use iCloud Mail, create a new email address by turning on Mail in your iCloud setting using iOS or OSX."

If I go to my computer settings for iCloud, mail is already turned on. If I try to add iCloud in the accounts, it says it already exists. I can log in to iCloud.com with either @me.com or @icloud.com, but either way I get the same message when I try to access the e-mail.

my icloud address is now live! i can log into it on my mac and send mail to it and it's no longer bounced back. awesome!
