Strap availability next week? You think the stores will house a range, or wait until June?

When I was at my try-on appointment I asked the store rep if bands would be available on launch day in the store. He said yes however I believe he was just guessing. My thought is nothing will be available in-store for a few weeks at least.

I think sport bands will line the shelves on launch day, not sure how they will sell other bands though.

I kind of agree with both of these. I don't think along with the watches themselves the straps won't be available for a while judging by their availability dates on line. That said the sports bands and quite possibly the charge cables may be available.

I think they might have cables.

If you change "in" to "on" this thread would be a lot more interesting...

Bands available in store from 24th April?

Apologies if this has been answered elsewhere, couldn't find a thread.

I know the general consensus is that most of the top end bands won't be avaialble to buy in stores from launch but has anyone seen anything mentioned about the Sport Band?

I've ordered a ss with classic buckle but really want the sport to use for gym etc and didn't want to wait until May at the time of preordering so would rather pick one up on the 24th in person rather than wait until May.

Thanks in advance for any info.

I'd assume so as there's always accessories in-store for new products. I'm going to head over to my store once the Watch has been delivered to scope everything out. Since I got the Classic as well, I'd like to pick the white Sport on the 24th.

I asked at my local Apple store yesterday and was told no. Only on line.
Having worked at the store for 6+ years, nobody really knows or can predict it. The line of silence between retail fulfillment ops and the foot soldier on the ground is deafening at Apple.

I ordered a sport strap for the gym separate to my watch, but the delivery is just 'MAY' if they was in store on release day I would be less than happy tbh. Although I would just cancel my order and go buy one lol.

Agree with you on the whole "MAY" thing. That's all my SS link bracelet order still says. I find it rather funny that Apple can't narrow that down at least a little bit. Just another mildly annoying aspect of this whole launch.

Aye, I've got a black sport band on order and the delivery estimate is May, so I'd feel pretty annoyed if saw them in store while I was still waiting for mine. Obviously I could cancel and buy in store, but it'd still feel bad that they didn't focus priority on fulfilling existing orders.

That's a right pain, aye - I like knowing when I'm likely to be charged.

Will Apple Bands be available for purchase in-store Friday?

My Apple Watch will most likely get delivered Friday since I've been charged and the shipment is preparing. I am getting the milanese loop but wanted to purchase a black sport band. Will the bands be available for purchase in-store on Friday?

I hope they are soon. My Space Gray sport doesn't arrive until May 13-27 I'm liking the blue leather loop. I'd like to have it before I get my watch. June ship date online.

Although I doubt most people could answer this the fact that my white sports band ships in May doesn't lend itself to the theory the bands will be available at release in the store (not to mention the link band was pretty much instantly 4-6 weeks or later). Or at least not for all models.

I don't know if there is a definitive answer on this.

It seems like a 50 / 50 split of users stating they were told that there will / won't be stock in stores.

Definitely maybe.

Bands In-Store On Friday?

Is there any information about whether bands will be available in-store on Friday? I ordered a 38mm SS with black sport band knowing that during a try-on I would settle on another band that I would wear for regular use. I've now settled on the Milanese Loop. My watch order shifted to "Preparing for shipment today" so I anticipate (fingers crossed) receiving the watch on Friday, this weekend, or early next week.

To reserve my place online, I ordered a 38mm Milanese Loop online about a week ago and it reports a shipping time of "May." Due to my eagerness I'd prefer to have the band around the same time I get the watch.

So my question is whether we know if the bands will be available in-store on Friday. Typically Apple keeps accessories well-stocked even for supply-constrained launches, e.g., iPhone 6 cases. But in this case, it is possible that the bands themselves are part of the supply constraint.

Does anyone recall seeing any information from Apple about whether bands would be stocked in stores on day-one?

I remember reading a week ago that rumors were that very limited supplies of bands would be available in stores. I haven't seen anything official from Apple though...

They will probably start trickling into stores starting Friday. But it's going to be hit and miss for a while most likely.
