I started out on this thread to help Jim, and was very content with my 2 messenger bags of 5 & 7 years old. But I got sucked in as usual, looking at all the great bags everyone posted. I placed an order last night for the
13 inch Muzetto bag and sleeve. Last week it was the OWC external harddrive, from a best backup hardrive thread. The week before that it was another thumb drive from the smallest flash drives. Oh yeah I got a smooch and poochy felt sleeve from that thread too....... I better stay off of the looking for or best blah blah blah, or I am going to need another job.

It's sick..

I'm now looking at bags too, and I've got 8GB RAM here for a new MBP but I haven't even decided which one to buy.

LOL! Sorry! Thanks for your input though!

I do the exact same thing. That's basically how I bought my MBA in the first place. I had a perfectly good 2 year old thinkpad. But I had the itch to buy something, and kept lusting over MBAs, and knowing I couldn't fight myself, I just walked in the Apple store and bought one haha. Days later, I was looking for accessories to buy, because apparently my $1800 MBA didn't satisfy me enough!

Now I'm on to backpacks...

...then an iPad 2. I know it's coming. I haven't come to terms with it yet. But I know once the idea is there, I'm getting it one way or another.

lol Jim.... We are 2 alike. I ordered the Ipad 2 last Saturday night. Knowing I did not need it, especially with a new MBA. But I wanted it. In the morning I canceled the order after going through the thought of more gear spending. But look at me now, the gear keeps coming. Although I canceled the Ipad 2 I could not stop the Ipad 2 smart cover. So that should be at my place tomorrow... lol, how long can I look at the cover before I get the rest that attaches to it.....

LOL! Yes we are! Clearly, you need to buy the iPad, you already have the smart cover!

I have a first-gen 64GB wifi iPad. I'm not sure what used first gens go for, maybe I can sell mine. What am I thinking? I have to wait more than a week between buying a MBA and an iPad 2!

I keep telling myself I'll just wait a year and get a third generation, so at least maybe I can stagger my Macbook and iPad purchases (figure I'd refresh each every two years), but part of me knows I'll only get 6 months, then buy an iPad 2, and then 6 months later be trying to figure out if I should buy a third gen or not haha.

So, basically, I'm rationalizing buying a second-gen iPad by recognizing that I can't fight this habit. I'm powerless to it LOL.

You are right. I will already have the cover, look at the money that saves. lol..

So you have a wifi 64gb. Are you using much of that memory? Would you, strike that, WILL you go 64gb for your new one. I think I am going 16gb, I use 8 on my phone, 22 of 128 on my laptop. I got the cloud and a Imac. The Imac is were I keep all my photos and movies. I just keep the last 2 years on my MBA and phone.

Exactly! You're like 8% of the way there already.

I think I'd have to go for the 64GB again. My iTunes library is at 54GB right now, which I trim down to around 40GB for my iPad. Even if I were to further trim it down, when you add on apps and movies, I'd still be exceeding 32GB. Do I "need" all of that music on my iPad? Probably not. But, then again, "need" is a pretty meaningless word when you're talking to someone who's buying a second-gen iPad because it's somewhat thinner, somewhat faster, and uses seemingly magical magnetic covers. lol

lol, I hear you. Owning apple products is not about needs, there are many cheaper avenues. It's about WANT's , You get what you pay for in the end and Apple makes some awesome tools, they make it like big boy toys....
