I wish they had a 3rd party band similar to Apple's link band. The beauty of the band is that it makes the watch look like it continues because the adapter is actually the last link on the band.

Not liking the look of the metal bands I have seen thus far. All of them use the 22mm pin or the lug look of the classic buckle. They all have that gap between the watch and the band.

Anyone seen a band that has the adapter built into the last link of the band like Apple's does?

I think it's just a matter of time before those show up. What we are seeing now are manufacturers rushing to get products to market, so they're basically taking existing bands and retrofitting them with adapters. Once the watch has been around a while longer, I'm sure there will be bands that are totally integrated like Apple's.

I figured as much. I keep drooling over Apple's SS band...and then remind myself that I can buy a second watch for $50 less

42mm. And I have a pretty small wrist. I think the 38 is way too small, even for me!

Looks nice on the pictures! Would you say that it´s more "silver" like in it´s finish than Apples own link bracelet? And is it brushed or polished?
I think Apple´s link is kind of grey and very brushed which i don´t really like.

I´m looking for the same finish as the SS watch itself.

I would prefer a bracelet that is the same finish as the watch.

The 5 bead hoco looks good except I don't Ike how it sits in the wrist how it bends weird. I ordered the original hoco with tube connector. It was real cheap so I don't care. At least it appears that I will be able to reuse the lugs If I don't like.

I haven't seen Apple's to compare. But this one is brushed.

I thought about buying the Hoco metal link, but at the end I think I prefer the adaptor used in the monowear for the metal link. It's chunkier and IMO fits the look of the metal link better.

I agree. I don't like the look of the "bars" coming out. It looks like the click adapter will have this better appearance too, if and when they ever release it.

I ended up cancelling the Monowear one tho after seeing some of the pics posted on this forum. The pictures on their website had the adaptor piece sitting flush with the casing, but the actual photos show the adaptor sticking out quite a bit and looks a bit clumsy. I hope someone comes up with a better option in the future.

Has anyone ordered the Hoco stainless steel "5 bead" version. It has a nicer lug that clicks into the watch. It doesn't have the large curved tubes coming out of it like some others or the leather band types. It is better looking in my opinion. I've seen them on Amazon for 39.99. Image

The adapter looks better on this one! Not the tube/bars but the whole adapter extending out.

Same boat here. The poor quality and the fact that amazon orders shipped way before website preorders (like myself) pushed me over the edge.

I wonder how long until big name fashion and sports wear companies come in and make really nice bands w/adapters. I'm sure its coming. I bet Oakley or Nike would make something sweet!

To be honest even though Apple are asking a stupidly idiotic price for their link I wouldn't get any other version because it is hands down the best looking link by FAR. Saying that I won't buy Apple's version for that price either! So no link bracelets for me!

Not a fan of any of the alternatives seen in here. Suppose the prices paid are about right.

Hopefully by the end of the week I can post pics of the watch band I decide on at the local jewelry store. I received the adapter I ordered from eBay for my 38 MM SS (currently with milanese loop) on Monday. I went to the local jewelry but he didn't have any bands that would fit the adapter in the store so he ordered 5 or so bands for us to try on to see which link bracelet will look the best. He thinks the bands will arrive before the weekend. I had ordered the SS Link from Apple with a June shipping date (I didn't order until May) but if this looks nice (and i think it will) I'm going to save 450 bucks. The adapter was 16 and all the SS link bracelets he ordered were around 30 bucks.

Well my strap arrive but the muppets sent me a classic buckle band in leather rather than a stainless steel. So a stern email insisting on rectification and immediate shipment tomorrow. Means I have to wait for a few more days

Did you order the 38mm? I purchased the same 2nd version from another Ebay seller who notified me that as they were prepping shipments, the manufacturer notified them of an issue with the 38mm band and they were told to send them back. They offered me a refund or the first version as an alternative. Since I don't like the look of the adapters on the first version I went for the refund. If yours is the 38mm, it sounds like they may have made the decision for you!

You'll note that many of the sellers of this band now show out of stock on the defective 38mm. Avoid those who are still trying to sell it unless they indicate a new/fixed version.
