I was reading all of the reviews, worried how poorly it may do given giz's low review as well as the verge's low review.

But then it hit me.

We're talking about a device which can't run any apps.

Windows RT can't run traditional exe's, and the Windows store hardly has any apps in it - Heck, Skype wasn't even available while these guys were playing with it.

I think it will get significantly better over time.

Windows Phone 7 hardware and OS got similar treatment at launch didn't it? High (enough) scores but not enough to dent into Android or iOS in a significant way.

Hopefully Windows 8 RT (and WP8) won't suffer the same fate as WP7.

Windows Phone 7 became useable with Windows Phone 7.5. After that it became my preferred Phone OS and I like it. A lot. Windows Phone 8 and the Nokia Lumia 920 look like the Smartphone that will truly beat the iPhone, what the Galaxy wanted to accomplish.
