How do you determine the Mac address of your iPad?
Settings -> General -> About
Near the bottom of the list is the WiFi Address. That's the MAC address you want.

The 3G version of the iPad will be locked to AT&T's network, which doesn't even compare to the 3G coverage that Verizon has. iPad 3G owners would have to pay $30/mo for a data plan that can only be used on the iPad.
I use the Sprint 4G Overdrive to support two iPads, two MacBook Pros, and one iPhone 3GS. Cost per device is $12/month.
It has a GPS built-in so I can access it via Safari to "Map me" when I'm using the iPad or MBP.
This is the very reason I like the 4G MiFi idea. It's a better option with more uses. How has the battery life effected your use?
.
I'd pay good money for a combo iPad mifi case!
the only place Verizon has that att doesnt is the desert and mountains. plus if you enjoy paying for the device, twice the amount a month, slower 3g, and a contract enjoy
Or maybe he likes connecting more than one device at a time... Ever think about that?
Everyone bitches "oh it's double the price!"
for some of us the MiFi is a better deal than paying AT&T $30 for one device connecting to the Internet..
mywi
How is the Mifi actually secured to the case?
Ok!? What about it??
Maybe he doesn't have an iPhone.. Maybe he does and doesn't wanna jail break it... The 3G iPad is not the solution for everyone...
Sorry to tell you but that is simply not true.
I PERSONALLY can tell you many places (Like North FL *Panhandle) where ATT is only a thought. The moment you move off of I10, your signal goes from somewhat shotty to straight searching and no signal.
So to clearify,
I have both services. The iPad 3G service (which I will use 90% of the time) and the mifi service when I need it.
Plus it does help to connect multiple devices at one time via the mifi
