All this it works for me and others saying nope no good here keeps crashing etc I think maybe down to the fact that there are in reality two versions of the Mac version of this game. There is the steam version, and we all know steam cam mess with games and cause problems, then there is the standalone version which you can buy from places like the Mac Game Store who do give you a steam key if you want to use it, but you can play the game without being connected to anything not even the Game Store Store client.

Just an thought.

Actually it certainly could be that. It's the case for Metro Last Light.

The MAS version works, while the Steam one won't even start for most. It could be down to the two not being the same versions or not having gotten the same patches.

I have the Steam M&M X version for reference.

I have the Stand alone non steam version so will report if I get problems.
