Has anyone ordered a 42mm Milanese band only with a June delivery date and seen any movement on it? I ordered the band only on 04/26 and received the 06/22-06/29 window a while ago. However no recent news or anything. Has anyone heard of people receiving them?

You can walk into Apple Stores and buy this band. They keep them in the back so just ask any employee if they have them in stock.

Yes there was movement this morning. This thread should be closed as there is already a thread for this here that is often updated: https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/1880307/

Thanks!

Went to 2 local store in Nashville today and was told they do not carry them (Milanese, that is). So frustrating that I'm hearing otherwise from watch owners who are buying them. The employees would not go check for me

An employee at the Fashion Valley San Diego store was super helpful and showed me their current inventory via her work iPod. They may be sold out at your locations but they should be able to give you that data also.

I've also had a very frustrating experience with the Apple stores and Apple Watch bands. I called two times (didn't believe the first person) and asked my local Apple Store if they had any bands in stock. Both told me that they had only a few sport bands. I asked the second one if they would check the shelf. They wouldn't. Just flat out said, "we only have sports bands." I drove over and found three Classic Buckle bands on the shelf. I was pretty mad that they told me wrong info twice. I also have to keep explaining to the call center, which your calls are force routed to, that the bands are not showing on the website or app for inventory. They won't believe me... My experience has been that you obviously don't know what they have unless you go in person. Even then, I'm doubtful that they are really looking in the back when they tell me they are.

----------

None of the numerous bands on the shelf at the store were showing as "in stock" on the website or app.

I had posted on another thread regarding this.
-----------
My order is from April 10.
Last week Wednesday got charged for the band. Still processing. Then they applied the payment to the Apple Watch which I have received now.
Band is still processing with a date of 22 to 29 June, which is ridiculous.

Customer Service had no explanation why I got charged for the band and a few days later it was applied to the watch. They said everything is fine and that my band will arrive between 22 and 29 June.
I don't know why they think 11 weeks for a band is fine ...

I only can assume as others have mentioned that they used the stock which became available to send to stores. I have seen a few reports which confirmed that people picked up the 42mm Milanese loop in store. Something here is not right ...
-----------
I checked with 2 Apple stores in Orlando on Sunday and they had none available.

I just ordered the milanese tonight. I'm kind of fed up with the run-around from my local stores. Delivery is June 5-12

There is some mandate from corporate that they are not 'officially' allowed to freely sell anything other than the sport bands. A certain amount come into the stores each day and they are surprised as to which/how many they get.

You have to keep trying and find the right person who is generally in a helpful mood. They will need to check their iPhone scanner for inventory to make sure but I suppose it is luck of the draw.

I remember when I got my 42 mil milanese loop band at the soho store in NYC, when I was walking up to the register every employee eyed me as I paid for the item. Very strange, like I wasn't supposed to be able to walk out with one.

Well they can keep their stupid rules. I live 30 min from the closest store and another 20 min to the second closest. I've ordered mine and I'm kind of done with the Apple stores for a while. Bottom line...if you have it in stock, I don't like being lied to/not sold to. I'm willing to spend money.

End of rant...

Oh I saw the 42mm and thought the "only" was saying that this new thread was "only" going to be limited to the 42mm SS ML. Apologies. This is like the first time I've called out a thread for being redundant in a long time and of course I'm wrong. I just didn't want it to take the discussion away from the other thread I'm subscribed and currently engrossed in getting updates about lol.

Did they have the ML? UTC told me they did on Saturday and I drove down there to get it. When I got there and asked an employee for it, they looked at me as if I was asking for Tim's phone number and told me they only had sport bands and a LL, then only the CL depending who I asked. There seemed to be much discussion about it near the back when I asked them to look again.

Really weird. Im thinking that they've been told to discourage people from coming in to the store to buy. Maybe they don't want it to be advertised that things are in the stores until after WWDC?? Either way, I've never been so ticked off at the Apple Store people. I've never seen such a runaround and cluster. You'd think these freakin bands were being made by magical fairies. I don't even understand why they are behind on them. They had over half a year to make them. Should have been stocked and ready.

The current backorder time is quite perplexing at 7-8 weeks. That seems crazy!! That's the longest wait of anything Watch related right now (even the mythical Space Black SS SL). I wonder if THAT has something to do with why they are hiding it in the back of stores and being weird about it.

I really appreciate seeing the people who have attempted to find one in stores and hope that you keep trying and updating us.
I REALLY want one. Ordered one on April 24, but it's still set for the last week of June for delivery right now, which is disappointing.

No I get it. I drove 30 mins and then another 20 to two apple stores and was denied. I figured with all the feedback in the sticky threads regarding the Soho store I thought i'd try my luck. Lucky I got someone who was willing to do as he was trained and check their iPhone checker as I read others were simply told no. I'd keep trying different people at the same store at different times just to see if one will budge... But they do make you put in the legwork... The way the Milanese feels on my wrist, its worth it

Wow. So you had to ask multiple employees before one finally checked? And they actually had MLs in stock?? I have lost all trust in Apple Store employees. This is ridiculous.

She showed me that they carry them but she had just sold the last one for that day. She could pull up the inventory they had on her little iPod.

I ordered one on 28th May and was given a 7-8 week delivery window.

It went to "preparing for despatch" in 7-8 hours and I received it on the 29th.

I'm in the UK.
