Hi Guys,

I've now had my SS 42mm Milanese Loop for 13 days and would really appreciate some feedback on a few a issues I've been noticing :

1. The fit is generally quite snug when tightened but does become slightly loose throughout the day with readjustments needed ( probably around once every hour and more when there is wrist movement - e.g typing )

2. Has anyone found any dull aches or pains in the arm the watch is being used? Also anything particular in the wrist area?

Look forward to hearing back from you!

Thanks

1. Not every hour, but a few times a day.

2. Yes. My wrist bone has a slightly irritated marking on it in just one spot most evenings after wearing it all day. I wind up moving it further up my wrist. It's a mild annoyance. Not too bad.

Have you not worn watches in the past? (re: the aches and pains)

Maybe you have it too tight.

I've worn watches all my life but never really had a dull ache like this before. For a minute I started thinking it maybe something to do with such a strong magnet on my wrist where strap fastens!

It's definitely not too tight but it maybe because I'm looking at my wrist more frequently with the twist and turn motion to get the watch face to light up! Anyone else experiencing this?

If you're talking about the bone-knob on the pinkie side (unsure of the proper name)...the band should sit just behind it. You may be wearing it to low and it's interfering with your natural wrist movement. The watch will look better there as well.

An additional question from someone anxiously awaiting the arrival of his spare Milanese band...

Does it tug at your arm hair at all?

That's one thing it doesn't do for me and I've been wearing it for sometime now. No problems on that front!

anyone got any thoughts on the above? The magnet? The wrist motion?

I'm wearing it behind it, but I suspect the band is allowing for this shift toward it due to weight and a wee amount of give in the magnet closure. That's why it only bugs me toward the end of the day.

The only problem I've had with the ML so far is that it scrapes against the MBP palmrest. Normally I use an external keyboard, but when I don't it gets annoying enough that I remove the watch. Measuring from my MBP, the front edge of the MBP is right near the front/middle of the band.

1. I've heard about this from others. Your magnet may be defective. Mine doesn't usually slide.
2. Yes, I get pains in my left arm probably because I have it on too tight. Also I'm not a fan of how the edges of the band keep snagging my arm hairs (I'm not that hairy)

3. Be careful how you put your watch on and tighten the band. It tends to rub against the casing of your watch if you're not careful and leaves light scuff marks.

4. I've already called Apple and am returning the ML for a Sport band.

I've had no issues with fit or arm hairs. I do adjust it a couple of times of day for comfort, but I actually really like that it can be adjusted so minutely to give everyone a custom fit. I do adjust it a hair tighter when I'm working out so that there are no issues with the HR connecting (first time I worked out with it on, my HR read over 200).

I second the advise to be careful how you put it on and take it off, as some users have noted that the magnetic closure can scratch the SS casing. I haven't had any issues with it, but I am careful when I take it off.

I like mine somewhat loose. I typically tighten it up for workouts though - come on, Sport band!

No pain or other weirdness at all. I love the band. It feels almost like fabric and is very light.

It hasn't for me.

Mine rarely becomes loose. The only issues I've had with pain are when I made the fit too tight and the watch pressed into my wrist too much.

I've been planning to get a ML, I've got nerve damage in my arm and I like the idea of being able to adjust it easily.
But I've seen a few posts now about the magnet not being strong enough, how have you ML owners found the magnetic closure to be?

The magnetic closure on mine is rock solid - doesn't budge at all without me actively pulling it open. I find it extremely comfortable as a strap and I like the infinite adjustability.

No problems here and I type on the computer all day. So far the magnetic closure fits securely. I've worn it bowling and playing wiffle ball and didn't have to adjust after either activity.

My wrist got crushed in some machinery 2 years ago and I have some weird sensory issues with it. The milanese band is very comfortable and I think the fact that it is infinitely adjustable and the magnet will slip a bit is the reason. If my wrist swells from activity, the band expands just enough but not so much it gets loose.

Mine doesn't come loose, unless lubricated (shower!) and I shake my wrist vigorously (no comments from the peanut gallery please). If anything, I adjust it a few times during the day to make a little more loose, as my wrist swells up a bit.

The magnet is very strong, any stronger and you'd have trouble getting it off. If it slips try cleaning the rubber lip that meets the mesh, or the mesh itself. As I said, with lubrication (water, grease) it moves more easily.

My magnet is very very strong with little to no give at all. I quite enjoy it because it makes it feel secure. No pains or aches but I did find that the clasp is easily scratched to **** though.

I ordered 42 SS Milanese as well and now I am thinking since I have a June delivery that for those of you who have it, do you wear it dressed up and down? I mostly wear jeans and a shirt, is this too much? thinking if I should have gone with the black leather magnet band.?

appreciate feedback
