Agreed, its starting to take the wazz now. I need to take my MBP for repair and as I live 5 mins from here it would be best to that rather than ship it back!

I'm a bit further than that but I tend to go over around once a month. I'd like to by one of the Incase protective covers for my iPt as I find the touch a slippery wotsit to use when using the keyboard with two thumbs. The case is £19.99 or thereabouts from the online Apple Store but I begrudge paying an extra £4.50 for postage when it'll probably slip in an envelope and could come for less than 50p. I'll just hang on for a while and get it when I can pick it up locally.

Don't knock it! My favourite place for coffee is there - Costa at Ottakar's (now Waterstone's) bookshop. :)

And don't forget John Lewis - best shop for miles. Well . . . until Saturday that is!

Oh good

This is good news, it's quite a bit closer for me than Birmingham. I guess i'll be able to do a little window shopping next time i go.

Looking at the front, and thinking hazily about what was there before, I'd guess it'll be comparable with the store in Birmingham. It's on two floors

Milton Keynes Store, opening pics

Thought you might like to see a few opening pics from Milton Keynes.

1. Arriving around 8.45 am. The queue was restarted further away a few minutes later so as not to block the entrance to the bank and stretched back quite a way, much to the dismay of some people that arrived at 9.20 am and thought the first bit was the end of the queue. When the centre staff pointed them to the second queue there was a resounding gasp of "NO WAY!!"Around 9.20 the staff came out to cheers and ran down the queue with video cams.

2 and 3. Opening 9.30 am

4. Upstairs with children's table that didn't take long before it was in good use!

Didn't stay too long. Just got what I wanted and came out as it was packed. Not a day for browsing. They were just letting in a few at a time after a while so there was still quite a queue as I came out.

Queue pics:

1. the second part of the queue, around 9 am. I don't know if it went round the corner or not; couldn't see from where I was standing. If you want a bigger pic I'll have to post it on its own.

2. still waiting to get in at 10.30 am first part of queue

3. as above, second part of the queue

This is the best I have at the moment. You can click on it for a larger version. Don't know if someone nearer than me can post a couple sooner, I'll be going back around the 26th, or sometime that week, and will try to get something then if no-one else has.
