Is the UI somehow smaller than the 7.9” mini’s? UI and apps look great on my 5th generation mini.
I returned mine as well. The UI is so poorly optimized, everything is too small or just weirdly cramped. The messages app is hilariously bad in this way. I also felt it a bit too small for pencil note taking and pdf reading/ annotating. Finally, I miss the 120hz and screen brightness. It was wonderful to carry, less than wonderful to actually use.
I just picked up the Mini 6 yesterday and haven’t been able to play with it much, but it is much easier to use in bed watching TV vs my 11Pro with Magic Keyboard. My daughter has a Mini 5 so I will compare them. She had my old 10.5 Pro and never used it but uses her Mini all the time.Is the UI somehow smaller than the 7.9” mini’s? The portrait mode of the mini 6 has a slightly narrower resolution compared to the mini 5, so if you happen on web content where the author selected an odd font/size not supported, text might not scale or wrap properly based on the layout of the page it is limited to.Is the UI somehow smaller than the 7.9” mini’s? I see. Thanks for the update. When holding the device in hand and writing on it, the balance is off. It doesn’t feel firm in your hand. And pressing down writing with the pencil it feels awkward and like the iPad may slip out of your hand if you press to hard. It’s not stable because the iPad is so small.
You do, you just don't see it.I love mine - not returning.... I DON'T have jelly
As is the case with all other 60 Hz lcd displays. You do, you just don't see it.
The narrow display and refresh pattern makes it a lot (a lot) more noticeable than on previous iPads though (for me). Happy for those who is not bothered by it. It's pretty annoying for me, I really wanted to like the device. As is the case with all other 60 Hz lcd displays.
Indeed ... me too. Sadly when scrolling thru these forums at a moderate speed in portrait, the horizontal pink/purple lines above each post were diagonal! The narrow display and refresh pattern makes it a lot (a lot) more noticeable than on previous iPads though (for me).
