oh yes…the massive leap in screen size and area is just mesmerizing
/s

Well, i like it. I'm happy. When I use it I think it's a huge upgrade. Personal preference. It could be better. It could have mini led, and thunderbolt. But I don't really care. Not the niche for my use.

But I totally get the negatives. There is always that :D

But...People I think will be very happy. In the coming days we will hear a lot of happy users. Btw, the magnetic cases for these are really nice. Like the Pros.

First of all this Mini wasn’t going to get it from the beginning because secondly the Air 4 doesn’t have 120hz.

If the Air doesn’t have promotion and is more expensive than the Mini 6 then why on earth are people wishing the Mini have it

I find the new mini screen serviceable and on par with the mini 5, Gunther for what I paid it really should have had a 120 mhz screen and oled or mini led. So close to to $925 it could be better

This is Apple and they like their profit margins high. If the mini 6 had those features, base price would probably be $699.

A maxed out 256GB 5G config would probably be $999 before any additional expenses (AC+, accessories, taxes, etc) so probably $1200-1400 all-in.

By the way, that's 120 Hz, not MHz.

I’d like it if Apple offered Promotion as an optional upgrade when purchasing, I know I’d be willing to pay a little more to have it.

Here is my Mini 6 on the right against my wife's Mini 5 :( I'm afraid I'll have to join the sending back club. Both on full brightness and True Tone. I tried them without True Tone and the difference still stark.

So idiotic Apple charges you extra $$ for more RAM, extra $$ for 5G/4G and is totally fine running 4 different color SKUs but the ONE thing that matters on a tablet (the screen) they're putting the cheapest **** in and you can't upgrade to something better. I'd be more than happy to pay $100 to get a modern bright nice color OLED screen that doesn't screen tear like it's 1998.

screen is always one of the most expensive components. Why do you think apple’s been using LCD for their iPads since ever !

Do we think this screen is typical or that the poster got a bad unit? I’ve never used a Pro so a screen that is on par with my Mini 5 would be fine, but that looks atrocious.

I guess the colours don’t cost them much really, one of the reviews said the pink is the same as on the edges of the iPhone 13/13 Mini. Once the initial units sell they’ll be adjusting production ratios based on what sells.

Mine doesn’t look like that, except for the jelly scrolling I don’t have a problem with the screen.

Yikes! That's a horrible difference. It's like when I have f.lux with orange color and dimness set on my computer monitor. What are Apple thinking?

Whoa. If my iPad mini 6 screen looked like that, I would return it too. I usually keep True Tone off but even with it on it isn’t that dim and yellow.

Bad panel. It needs to be replaced. Mine looks nothing like that.

The Mini 6 has Apples Liquid Retina display, which is the same as the Iphone XR/11, Ipad Pro 2018 onwards (minus 120 hz) and Ipad Air 4. Its the best LCD tech they have developed, so it is slightly better in colour reproduction and contrast than the P3 LCD retina screens in the Iphone 7 and 8, Mini 5 and Air 3 for example.

Come citations are needed here..

Where are you getting color reproduction and contrast measurements showing the Mini 6 screen to be superior to the Mini 5 screen?
