So now it is getting interesting Digitimes is still speculating the Mini-Led iPad Pro is still on course to be released in the end of 2020 ! But only 12.9" ! Why not 11" also ? And I wonder the folks who now see no merit in upgrading to the 2020 iPad Pro which were announced on Tuesday. Would the same folks be interested in the 12.9 Inch Mini-Led iPad Pro then ?

I just ordered the 2020 12.9 and while it would be nice I wouldn’t say it’s going to be a big upgrade. Slightly faster chip and mini led

Dude c'mon Mini-LED is just another thing ?? It is Big !! It is Huge !!

Micro is atleast another 5 years if not more so should one be sitting on the fence till that time !!

Nobody knows how far it’s away but that is the ground breaking screen tech

Mini LED is better than current LCD hit wouldn’t say it would be a massive upgrade. If all I’m missing is mini led from the current 2020 iPad Pro I don’t think it’s something I would be annoyed by getting the new pro now

You can be happy in assuming and thinking what makes you content but for rest of us I think it would be big. Great Display, Amazing and Deep Blacks.

It’s 5G and the A14X processor that’s coming. The very reliable Jon Prosser tweeted about it 16 hours ago. Apparently Apple planned on launching it alongside the new iPads that were announced the other day. His latest YouTube video mentions it (see the link).

Lol mini led is just LCD. You want deep blacks go get an oled panel. Otherwise wait for micro led.

Mini-LED in 2021. I'd be surprised if it makes it in iPad Pros in 2020. It will likely be an incremental improvement. Don't expect miracles.

Micro-LED is vapourware. Don't expect it within the next 3 years.

Lol vapourware. It’s not. It actually exists. Not in mass production nor in a small screen for an iPad or iPhone. It won’t be 3 years tho. Probably more like 5 for screens of the size of an iPad or iPhone. 3 for a TV

They are still going to be selling the current Pro I expect so it is going to be a big price jump for a mini-led for sure

Uh, that is effectively what "vapourware" means - a hyped up technology that doesn't actually exist in mass production.

By your definition, SED wasn't vapourware either, because it actually existed, just not in mass production.

Problem might be the current financial climate. There's gonna be a LOT less buyers than previously thought.

I ordered the 2020 11". I am fine with the screen on it (other than if I change my mind and get the bigger size). My take as with all major updated products from Apple, the Micro LED iPads will be hella expensive with the first iteration. For my use case, this one is fine. My partner's iPad Air 2 is getting long in the tooth and I will hand down my current 10.5 iPad Pro.

I can’t wait to get my hands on the mini led iPad Pro later this year , I have been on the fence with getting the just now updated iPad Pro’s. But now I will happily wait and IMO the new mini led display will definitely be a improvement over the current led display.

Myself included. Even though I have $1000 in gift cards, I'm in no rush to buy. I have a lot less need for a 2nd mobile device given that I'm mostly working from home now anyway. And I'm not really as interested until I can get the Magic Keyboard.

it will be a big upgrade Mini LED A14X and 5G

Slightest faster chip is not something that will notice in fairness. 5G? Good for the phone but not important for tablet to me. Will just tether from my phone for that

Mini LED will be more important than those two

I always use to tether but since going cellular on the 2nd Gen, it’s so much better and wouldn’t ever wanna go back to tethering. £4 a month contract and I just transfer the data from my phone plan onto the tablet plan

I don’t t care for 5G on a iPad . Faster chip is for sure welcome but for me it’s the mini led is what I’m most excited for.
