Alright, so I'm seeing a lot of people saying that they are not finding the battery widget in the notification center. I have a theory that I'm going to try and prove soon, but I'm thinking it's simply because the widget only becomes available when your iPhone is paired to an Apple Watch. Every screenshot I've seen of this feature shows the battery percentage of the users phone and their watch. I don't have the widget yet, but I also haven't paired my watch. When I get home shortly, I will test to see if my theory is correct!

***Edit: When I added my Apple Watch, the widget showed up and was enabled automatically***

  • Also, maybe I'm overthinking but the widget says "Batteries". So it seems like it won't turn on unless you have an Apple Watch paired.

Before and After pairing my watch - (Notice, it's clearly iOS 9 with Find my Friends as a widget)

If you attach a Bluetooth device to your iPhone the battery widget will appear. Once you turn of the Bluetooth device the widget will disappear.

I'm using a VERY low end set of Bluetooth headphones (Bienas $18) with poor grammar in the voice for pairing so clearly not a high quality setup, and it's showing up in the battery section when paired. I offer that up just because it seems unlikely to me that the vendor expended the effort to attach to an API or something like that. It's _possible_ of course but unlikely.

Jawbon Jambox also shows up on iPhone and iPad.

Does the Apple Keyboard do the trick for you, guys? I've been trying to use mine with my iPad Air, but the frigging aluminum keyboard (version 1) doesn't seem to be enough to make the batteries widget show up.

Just installed iOS 9 on my iPad, and it has the option to put battery widget into the Notification Center, but nothing shows up. If this thread is right, and the battery widget is for use with the watch, why is the option even on the iPad, which doesn't pair with the watch????
[doublepost=1469079878][/doublepost]Just updated with 9.3.3 on my iPad Pro 9.7" and my battery widget started to work. Magic!

I wish I could get this working without an iWatch. Not a crucial widget, but handy none-the-less.

Does this thing work now with the old classic Apple aluminum keyboard?
