im making this thread, because i haven't seen it made yet and im also making it because i bet tons of people will ask why isn't it up yet. also who thinks you will have to connect to itunes and update the carrier file?

MMS comes Friday, but at what time?

Does it really matter? Some people seem to have it already, which points to AT&T rolling it out in stages. Friday is just the day by which everyone should have it.
yea, but people who got it. either updated it themselves or something. it can't just happen on its on. i mean will att just activiate it in the background?
I had a dream that I am on a ship at sea when when it is released on Friday. Just as I get to try out MMS and fall in love with it I will cross the international date line and the functionality will magically turn off because it is once again Thursday.
For a lot of people it just started working, and some people always had MMS. Also, a lot of people who have updated their carrier files and done other "tricks" still can't get it working no matter what which suggests that it's just something on AT&T's end.
Not true, you can't get it working unless you update the carrier file ( either officially or through a hack ). There is no way the MMS icon will magically appear without this update.

AFAIK, it will be a carrier update. And I don't think Apple distributes carrier updates inside the US store based on location. So I would guess it will happen at the same time for everyone but will require you to download the update from iTunes to be activated.
And to answer the question of this thread, knowing AT&T my guess would be 23:59:59 Hawaiian Standard Time. Which would breakdown like this:

My MMS wasn't working with 5.0, I updated to 5.1 and it started to work.

Don't know what time, but AT&T Business Customer Service told me a few weeks ago, and they're usually pretty savvy, that on Sep 25, everyone will receive a TXT Msg with instructions on what to do. My guess is, They could give us a link for a Carrier File in that Txt.
