MMS working on 3.1 (standard)

OMG OMG OMG OMG OMGOMGOMGOMGOMG

Mine is working all of the sudden too!!!

I woke up this morning and got an MMS from my friend, my eyes were wide open like in the funny youtube commercial?

Could someone please post the exact conditions of the OS as they're getting MMS to work?

What carrier version?
Jailbroken?
 
mine is working too. Running with ATT 5.1, I did nothing to get it to work. I actually was playing around with the phone to see if I could get it working because I had some time and I kept getting the red exclamation point. This morning it went through no problem. I do have a family messaging plan, however this is the first time I have been able to get it to work.
The phone has not been jailbroken, I have not spent time on the phone with ATT to have them change my account nor have I swapped my SIM into another phone.

Scratch that I looked I have 5.1 any ideas of what I can do to get it to work (like what exact things do I need to do if I switch the SIM, or if I call ATT what exactly do I need to say, best time to call? I would love to get this to work.

Well, now it's working for real. I'm able to send and receive MMS and it shows my correct phone number unlike last time.

There are a lot of "3"s in this screen capture. Anyone else notice? lol.

MMS works on 3.1 proved via a screenshot taken on September 3rd, at 3:13pm on the 3G network with 33% battery left. lol. and the poster's name has a "3" in it also. (dizzy13)
 
I have the latest official iphone firmware (3.01 or something), no jailbreak or anything, and the hacked carrier file mentioned earlier in the thread 5.1

Got the mms buttons, etc... but it is not actually working. Mesage Failed errors.

On another note, does anyone have a link to the 4.5 carrier file. I'd like to try that one. Maybe cause it's an official ATT it may work? Dunno.
 
Ditto Im thinking maybe that might work for me too.

At least it can't hurt.

While I would normally say this I was more curious than anything. And it is pretty ****** that at&t has made us wait this long for a feature that should have been activated back in June.

No the feature should have been available from day one of the iPhone IMHO
 
so me and my gf can both send but neither one of us ever gets them that is such a tease haha
 
No Go

No GO for me, beta 3 and I still get the red exclamation point when sending. No other Mods to the phone BTW. I am in Seattle on a shared family plan with two other iphones.

Haha, I did not notice that. Time, Date, Battery...what are the chances?
 
Seems to me that the people who have it working are in the south east. I saw Georgia, Florida, and alabama on this thread. Just an observation. I dunno
 
No go in Houston but AT&T is counting my attempts in my text count!!

AT&T is charging my MMS attempts against my text count...WTF??!!

AT&T announced yesterday that MMS was going to be coming on Sept 25th with a free download. The official apple update for 3.1 is supposed be on Sept 9th.

Oh and AT&T blows :D
 
I just sent 3 MMS on a non-hacked 3.01 phone with 5.0 carrier file and then updated to beta 3.1 3 and sent another. My wife's 3G with 3.0 failed but I am updating to 3.01 to try it. I shouldn't have gone up to 3.1 because now my tethering is gone. Damn it.
