This was just straight from iphone cam and I think all I did was hit the enhance button. Thought it looks like now as if I might have boosted the saturation some. I'm hungry if you can't tell.

Bacon wrapped, cheese encrusted, jalapeños? If so, wow! Nice shoot too.

Here's another shot on an iPhone 5s and edited in Snapseed. And posted while walking the dog!

Image

at first glance it looked like the floating mountains in Avatar! love the orange background, is it in post?

impressively impressive overall impressiveness

a fine purring specimen indeed :D

iPhone 4, some minor processing. First time I had wine with breakfast, life has obtained a new meaning since then... :)

Let's have another, shall we?

iPhone 5, with cropping and auto-enhance in default Photos app.

Taken after an ice storm a day before Christmas. Many were without power for over a week. Others, more fortunate, ventured outside to snap photos. I was actually out to go see The Hobbit, but due to power outage, the theatre was closed. And the other one I tried. But the third one worked. :)

I would have definitely reached out for a bite. Neat visual!

Here is an older one of mine; an attempt at surrealism using the following apps on an iPhone 4S:
Jag.gr 645 PRO
Snapseed
Color Lake
(... and I'm forgetting one other app that allows two photos to be merged; I think either photoBlend or Photoforge 2 maybe? and yes, I made the paper airplanes myself and had them taped on light stands!)

fun and fancy result! you should also look into taking part in the two|one contest threads

...and then it hit me : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ewRjZoRtu0Y this should take care of the zen vibes :D

Galaxy Note 3, edited in Snapseed.

I dig the teal and amber blend

I managed to focus :)

Shot with iPhone 5c and processed on the same phone with Lr mobile.

I have to say that for casual snapshots the iPhone is quite capable. For viewing on the internet and if you don't mind the noise. ;) Much better than my Lumia!

Question: I tried hdr on the iphone and how do you merge the two images that are created?

Thanks, I couldn't figure out how to remove the orange cast from the street light.

Here's a shot from downtown Las Vegas. Was walking to the store from work and the colors caught my eye.

Thanks for that! This was a run down pier on a lake we live by. It was in the morning and the water was very calm and pretty muddy so it already had that smooth orange color to it. I used Snapseed on the iPhone to try to amp it up a bit and it worked well. I usually use multiple filters in Snapseed and then back off thier intensity. I used the HDR filter on this one too.

It took me a while to learn, and the limitiations of the phone really helped, but I've gotten better at recognizing what real world conditions will work really well when trying to push things in post. It's interesting to try to turn a somewhat plain image into something interesting.

Hey! That one is completely in focus. You must've figured something out. I like the text on the bottom of the building.

I haven't used the HDR function on the iPhone in a long time but I think what you end up with is the "HDR" image and a normal image. I believe the "HDR" image is an already combined image of multiple exposures (or some simulated effect). I could be wrong about that though.

EDIT: No idea why my photograph is upside down.

Southern Hemisphere?

some photo I took on my iphone4, 3 years ago or something, messing with jelly type effects on that tiny sensor.

can't find the original photo on my phone, so no fancy, almost non existant anyway, exif data. I pulled this off a long forgotten facebook post. I was happy to find it as I looked for it unsuccessfully to post it here.

without further ado , enjoy this POS :D

Like an abattoir in there, all shuffling around like cattle, heading for the inevitable end.

She's fine now, thanks, and I've got some book cases to build later.

By the way, how was the photo? I find the Mega quite limiting as opposed to my previous iPhone 4S which had a brilliant camera.

Comments always welcome as I need to learn.

Cheers :)

I am no authority on photography, I've reiterated quite a few times so that my comments are not taken as such

your picture it's properly (safely) framed, even after cropping, and vignetting is always helpful to pull the attention of our viewers to the subject we want them to concentrate on, while removing all unnecessary distractions. I still use them here and there, but I am under the impression no real pro does that.
Real pros just frame nice. Your frame is nice in this case, and up and personal to the subject. How about sharing the unedited photo with us?

I like the overall color, is the tint created by some refracting light through the windshield or environment, or did you level that in that too?

All in all, for a mobile image, it's quite an eyecatcher, but a DSLR would have batted that out of the field, if it was a canon that is :D

I do take you and most of the other regulars as experts actually, and really appreciate all the helpful critiques.

The original is above ^
and the one I tried with flash below.

I don't know where the tint came from, I just left it at that, as auto enhance made the photo look silly.

Good call for the crop and vignette in this case. I think it really pulled the nice picture out of it!
Hands need some photoshop treatment on the final image. Will get back to you on that.

On the expert thing, just a reminder, I've only been involved with photography since Jan13. I haven't even double-exposed a pic yet and I only recently started using RAW (only when needed though).. I just had some background in photoshop & other software, which helps, I'll grant you that, but have never really been behind a camera per se, until said date. Please remove me from that mental list of yours. Maybe fast pacing intermediate?

here you go

I just played with Hugh/Saturation after masking your fingers to achieve desired desaturation and hue pinching only to the fingers that interested me. of course, some more edits are needed imo.

To all the Lr users in here, I firmly believe that you should take on photohsop for some edits.
