iPhone Mobile Substrate...where are you?

For those of us on 5S iPhones, there's really not much in the way of tweaks that work sans an update to Mobile Substrate.

So, who is putting the update to that together? Is it a heavy duty programming job? Is it something we might expect "any day now"? Will it take weeks?

Patience, like virginity, is a virtue highly overrated!

I understand why there is a lag this time for the jailbreak and the mobile substrate update. I'm just wondering whether updating the latter is a huge deal or something that can be accomplished fairly quickly. There's not much point in jailbreaking wiithout having an up to date mobile substrate to accompany it.

I thought MS is partially working on non-A7 devices, in that you have to reinstall them and the preferences will appear until next reboot?

I only have JB my iPhone and i will wait until got a new update to start using those awesome tweaks!

saurik rushed out cydia 1.1.9, you will notice its not ALL skinned to ios7 style, so he could focus on updating mobile substrate. great news.

I certainly can appreciate that...I was just hoping for some sort of "heads up" as to an ETA. With an iPhone 5S, the JB is pretty much useless without mobile substrate.

Well f.lux works on my iPad air, so I'm happy.

I like f.lux, too, but I wouldn't have JB'd my phone for that.

It's probably going to be updated within the next 48-72 hours. Maybe longer because it's Christmas but either way, based on all his comments on twitter and reddit over the past few days, I get the sense it'll just take a few days to update.

I'd say wait until mobile substrate is updated before you jailbreak. if you jailbreak now, you'll get no real benefit from it (unless you want the jailbreak for root access or other apps that don't depend on mobile substrate)

Once MS is updates, other devs can update their apps. It's a process, not like MS comes out and a switch is flipped.

and this is only for the developers who choose to. a lot of them have quit (so no infinidock/zephyr/etc). some say it will take a LOT of time (like lockinfo). some aren't even using ios7 because they hate it so theres no way for them to test/update.
