It's great if you have an iPhone and want the syncing features, everything else has free alternatives (though, not as sleek) as MobileMe. Not worth the $99, and you can get them for much cheaper than $69, as well. MobileMe boxes aren't tied to any serial numbers and all that is really in there is just an activation code. Check the usual suspects like Amazon, eBay, etc. I was able to get one for under $50.

Just call your credit card company and they should block the transactions

I have spoke with my credit card company and as of tonight, I still have that amount of credit blocked. Here it is over a week now and still they got my card f'd up.

I got good info out of this and I have a few questions also.

1. Is there parental controls for it for kids?

2. Is there a difference between the iCal on my mac (and iPhone) and the MobileMe calender?

3. My wife and I both have iPhones and Macs, can we sync to the same calender so we both can see the same one? Or sync to each others calenders?

4. I want to try the free trial, but can I try the family MobileMe so my wife and myself can try it out?

5. Is $99.00 on Amazon a good deal for the family plan?

6. How many people can you add on a family plan?

7. Do all my bookmarks have to be on Safari? I use Firefox, will that make a difference?

8. I might have more questions so please bare with me, thanks :D

1. Not sure
2. Not sure what you mean. But the calendars will be in Sync.
3. Only if you use the same MobileMe Account. This could be a problem if you want separate email accounts. No, you can't subscribe. Big complaint. However, with new 3.0 iPhone you can subscride to a calendar you share from your mac but not via MobileMe.
4. You would need to have 2 MobileMe Accounts for the 60 day trial. After you can combine them with the Family Plan.
5. Yes
6. 5
7. Only Safarie and IE

I have had MobileMe since day 1

I enjoy it and use it quite often with contacts, email, and iDisk.

But, i still tell people to stay with GMail as it is free and on the whole has most of what MobileMe offers

Depends on what you use....for me, I got MobileMe for iDisk and EMail.

I use GMail for Chat but have since found its email/contacts/chat to be a bit easier to use and much quicker (much). I also have started using Google Documents a decent amount and like it.

So, unless someone has a real attachment to using iDisk or something specific with MobileMe, I usually tell friends to stick with free GMail.

Can I sync my iCal with gmails?
