Now that my extra-long and generaous trial period has ended, I upped to a family plan. Also, now that I'm not a paying customer I feel I have the right to express a few things I would like to see in future updates, if there are to be any. Also would like to see if anyone else has similar needs or others.

1. The abillity to syn the gallery with some sort of application that runs on Window, such as Photoshop Elements or Picasa.
2. The ability to create sub-folders/galleries
3. Would like to assign my 40 gigs of space across the provided accounts as I see fit - right now it's kinda weird, the master account gets 20 Gigs and the other 4 get 5 gig each. What if I only need two accounts? Can't use all the storage unless you use all 4 additional accounts.
4. I would also like to see the public gallery evolve into more of complete homepage, social networking page. Yeah, I know you can post your own site, but for things like this it would be easier to have a personal homepage with the gallery integrated and be able to support video and other things. If that were the case, I coiuld do away with MySpace and Youtube.

Your number four can seriously be done in iWeb.

But I understand what you are saying.... and I know that my number 5 would take care of it. Also, this may be more of a Mobile Me/iLife.

5) Flash support in iWeb and ability to create webpages with flash.
6) Albums and slideshows made in iWeb support flash.
7) DE-CLUTTER THE GALLERIES! They are sickeningly annoyingly crowded.
8) Faster upload and download times (most likely dependent on my ISP though)

Are you daying that the personal webpage doesn't support the Flash mime type, or is it just the iWeb application? I'm on a PC, so I haven't tried iWeb and I haven't tried to publish a page to the public folder on Mobileme.

I could create a site elsewhere, actually I have - it's sort of what I do. But I prefer the core functonality of MM, much more that I wiould care to build myself, and of course, I couldn't replicate the iPhone integration.

Is your number 7 the same as what I was saying in number 2? Also not having worked with iPhoto or Aperture I'm not sure if they allow sub-categories to the galleries. If they do I wonder how it syncs.

You can make flash elements elsewhere and just paste them into iWeb.

I would like:

ability to access bookmarks from me.com website portal.

very easy method of using the gallery for photo hosting (to post to a website or something). so right click an image and it has the option of add to gallery. then later right click option to be a link to the list of images in your gallery.

mobile me website to also have rss reader.

calenders subscriptions sync able.

I put up with MobileMe since July and as of today, I'm saying goodbye in favor of going back to Gmail and google services. Apple designs gorgeous hardware and for the most part, amazing desktop software--but they're just children in a man's game when it comes to delivering web apps. Not just the apps themselves but the support system necessary to keep them reliable.

I'm done with contacts disappearing from my iPhone 3G randomly, having to check to ensure e-mails are sent, sending multiple copies of e-mails to the same person, web site timeouts, lack of good Windows integration. I just don't "trust" MobileMe to take care of me. Here's what I'd like to see:

1) Better performance!!! This is huge. I hear Firefox 3.1 and the upcoming Safari 4.0 will have tons better Javascript engines--but as of now the web interfaces are painful and little improved from July.

2) The ability to KEEP calendars/contacts/bookmarks when turning off sync. Many people got hosed on this one when they cancelled MobileMe.

3) Live telephone support. I know this costs money--but I've spent countless dollars since July trying to get it to work.

4) Access bookmarks from online. Why get rid of this with .mac? UGH. Foxmarks is the best app out there for bookmarks and password sync. Come on guys.

These guys just can't keep up with the true web innovators out there. Apple doesn't understand the web very well. I WANT to love MobileMe, but it just is weak.

Well said though I will give Apple till January since Steve Jobs said "MobileMe will be something we can be proud of" by them.... NO LONGER

....If you have exchange syncing in work, as i do.

I have no choice but to go with MobileMe in order to sync my personal calendar/contacts, as the iPhone will only support one exchange account at a time, and then there's the problem that once your exchange account is set up, you cant sync calendars through iTunes.

I find this rather annoying, but my biggest wish is proper domain support. I want to be able to send and receive emails using my own domain through MobileMe without having to forward email to my MobileMe account.

Im not talking about domain hosting, just let me point it at apple's dns servers.

also sort the windows control panel out, no syncing through a proxy, is madness.

I publish my iCal calendar on the web for family to keep up with when I'm working. Would be nice if MobileMe did this automatically instead of requiring you to sync when iCal is open. In other words, I would like for the cloud to publish a public iCal calendar. I would also like to see the ability for visitors to request appointments.

How about: Make MobileMe work? Seems like its a crapshoot on whether the webmail works or is "unavailable" every time I load the page.

I think anyone that has the money and desire to pay the $99 for MM is Apple's target market. Especially since there are a lot of mindless people out there buying iPhones, and Apple is trying their hardest to sell MM to PC users with iPhones, that most likely use IE6 or 7.

Apple should try their best to make it work with most browsers, or at least those three that are used the most: Firefox, Safari, and IE.

A lot of people are stuck with IE6. At work, a lot of or PCs have IE6. Fortunately, I was able to upgrade to IE7 on my work computer which is still very buggy with Mobile Me (the calendar is barely usable) but at least it works, but a lot of companies are still on 6.

I know there are other threads on this, but I've yet to see something not work or be available in IE7. Apple says that it's IE that doesn't doesn't fully support Web 2.0.

Apple could start regaining my trust regarding Mobile Me if they simply lived up to their word. I refer specifically to their promise of being able to email large files, a feature that apparently wasn't ready for prime time and wasn't included in the roll-out. As we all know, this feature still hasn't been added, and yet it is still promised on the Mobile Me features page.
