iCal

Today i use a third party software called spanning sync to sync ical with google cal just because i must allow my assistant to add events on my ical.
Since mm does not allow me to grant access to parts of my calendar (and only my calendar) i have to sync everything with Gcal and where i can grant access to others to my calendars.
So i would very much like if a could set a password for others to access parts of mobileme.

I'd really like updates to the Gallery portion since that is what I use the most.

- Allow comments on photos, you can do this with iWeb but why not with Galleries.

- Allow me to change the layout of the Galleries. I'd like to better organize them, my gallery starting to look cluttered.

Web Mail:

- More options when composing mail, GMail (as well as most others) blows MobileMe out of the water on this one.

More Apps (which maybe coming according to rumors)

- Create/Edit iWork documents from the browser.

- Bookmarks, bring back them back!

- iWeb, let me at least update my blog from the browser. Better yet, give me an iPhone app where I can do this as well.

- A stripped down version of me.com I can use at work on IE6.

Thats all I can think of right now...

2) The ability to KEEP calendars/contacts/bookmarks when turning off sync. Many people got hosed on this one when they cancelled MobileMe.

Sorry if this is a dumb question or if it's been answered before, but I was just looking at this thread and this line scared me. I just started a trial of MobileMe to see if I like it enough to buy it, and of course turned on syncing between my iPhone and my Mac. Are you saying that if I turn of syncing (which obviously would happen if I decide to cancel the service), that I'll lose all of that information??! And if so, how can I prevent this?? Geez, I'm nervous now!

I'd like:
1. a way to stop the reloading when in mail and calendar. I'll click get mail when I want to.

2. A way to set an alarm in calendar. If I add an event, I have to wait till I get home to add the alarm.

3. The email idisk download that they mentioned. I really want that. And make it windows friendly files too.

If you cancel MobileMe, you will lose that data on your iPhone but not on your Mac. You can then sync all the data back to the phone manually through iTunes.

This is something I especially wanted. After having been a user of Box.net and loving it's simplicity with both Mac browsers and Windows browsers I was a bit peeved to switch back to using my iDisk and not having that features that Apple said was going to be included.

Me too. This was the one feature that I was REALLY looking forward to, and I was pretty unhappy to see that it wasn't there. I don't even understand how it could be so complex or badly done that they had to pull it, either..

Damn you, Apple.

I'd like email to be more responsive. At present it takes too long to search for new mail or refresh folders - on both my Mac and iPhone. Yahoo! Mail is much quicker, to the point of being near-instant.

Calendar Alerts!

A key thing I use MM for is copying my work meetings into the calendar. I use alerts to alarm me 5 minutes before each meeting.

Why can't I set alerts right in MM? It is incredibly annoying to have to create a meeting in MM, then remember to go back to every single entry on my phone to set the alert. Missed a meeting just last week because I forgot.

A significant chunk of MM users only have it because they have iPhones. Why can't Apple provide better support for the iPhone?

Oh, and I'd also like: Send from my domain address, IE6 support, subscribed calendar support.

(Geez, just how hard can it be to echo the birthdays to the iPhone screen? I end up having to create duplicate calendar entries.)
