iPhone Modifiying N41AP.plist to speed up Iphone 5

I was poking around my iphone 5 this morning and came across the N41AP.plist in the

/System/Library/CoreServices/Springboard.app/

I changed the values of things I recognized from true to false and put it back on my iphone 5... rebooted once and the phone is so much quicker now.

Has anyone else done this?

I have a copy of the original plist still on the phone in case, but there have been no problems so far.

I wonder why no one else has tried this yet...

accessibility
assistant (siri)
bluetooth
bluetooth le
gamekit (gamecenter)
hardware keyboard
nike-ipod
shoebox (passbook)
siri-gesture
voice-control

thats all ive modified so far...

No it's not a placebo effect, instagram took at least 20 seconds to load before, now its under 5.
I'm just using instagram as a example because it's a resource heavy app.

The score won't change much. Modifying the device property list will only make the device think it does or does not have a feature.

Already tested... everything is fine

Accelerate does the trick for me. Much easier than edited plists

Fakeclockup is far better and more consistent.

I found it to be quicker than accelerate.

I have used both, I am sure that with fakeclockup my phone feels faster than it did with accelerate. Accelerate is an amazing concept for a 13 year old but fake clock up runs quicker to me.

the score came out to 1664

the standard is 1658. is 6 that big of a deal?

I just ran a geekbench test right now and got 1664 (didn't change anything, unless you count me having cydia tweaks as something)

Not quite. Accelerate is a poorly made rip off of FakeClockUp. It also messes with iOS' power saving features in attempt to make it faster. Because of this, FakeClockUp has much better battery life.
