So has anyone else modified this? Notice a difference in speed? I cant risk my JB trying this without some more iGuys confirming it works!

When you modify this file, is it simply disabling daemons? If so, you can just use iCleaner pro to disable these same services. But proceed with caution. If you don't know what you're doing you can cause stability issues. And in the most extreme case you can get stuck in a loop and will be forced to restore. But for that to happen you'd have to disable core services and functions that are necessary for the device to boot. If you are careful you can avoid this but if you're not you can obviously mess it up.

Thanks bro but I think I rather not mess with it.... Nothing is worth losing my JB

I've been running it for 3 days now with no issues... Editing the .plist just disabled functionality I didnt use, similar to removing the files.

The biggest change I've noticed is my App Store before was slow and buggy as hell, now it runs like a dream.

You sure it isn't the placebo effect?

set these to false:
accessibility
assistant (siri)
bluetooth
bluetooth le
gamekit (gamecenter)
hardware keyboard
nike-ipod
shoebox (passbook)
siri-gesture
voice-control

thats all ive modified so far...

No it's not a placebo effect, instagram took at least 20 seconds to load before, now its under 5.
I'm just using instagram as a example because it's a resource heavy app.

Can you post the modifed plist file?

Well, you convinced me to give it a try, but I use Siri and I think Voice Command is connected or something, no clue to be honest lol.
So I only disabled Accesability and Hardware Keyboard.

Accessibility stops your restrictions for some reason... I had to allow that as I wanted access to mine.

Does modifying n41ap.plist cause battery drain?

No, but increases battery life.

Here is my modified plist Siri is off and so is bluetooth. If you want specific things turned on just modify the file using ifile so change bluetooth to true under the 2 bluetooth settings:

I was wondering why when I hit restrictions it would just close. That is good to know even though i don't use any restrictions.

Just downloaded fackclockup for my 5 and wow!!! I can totally tell the difference on how fast it did speed up my phone from apps to the browsers to typing even. This guy is impressed

Very odd they're connected. I'd like to see what else is worth disabling, but I do use Siri. I wonder is Siri and Voice Control are connected.

Yes they are. iCleaner pro does all this in a GUI. You can tap on each daemon and it'll give you a description.

Really? I'll have to check it out then, thanks. Does it have a private repo/version?
Seems a lot of Cydia tweaks these days have betas on their own servers heh.

Yes that's correct.

Good luck. Let me know if you have any questions. It's pretty self explanatory.

Edit: I think you might need to add a "/" at the end of the repo address. I just looked at my sources list and that's how it's displayed in Cydia.

I didn't need to, seems Cydia added the extra / automatically.
