So my brother recently moved out and left his Pro Stand that he didn't need anymore. I have a VESA configured studio display that I'd love to connect to the Pro stand since it's just sitting here. Any tips to make this work?

Do you have access to a machine shop? I think you might be able to machine an adapter plate from aluminum stock.

A bit of an engineering challenge... o_O
Since there are no XDR back panels to be had as scrap you can't just use that cut down and fitted with screw holes spaced 100x100mm.

This is the stand fitting:

This is the Apple Vesa mount:

What you need is the X fitting to go on the front side of the stand...
HumanCentric made an XDR Vesa mount that had a X fitting that looks unscrewable, so it might be possible to bolt the X on the front of your XDR stand.

Put four longer mounting bolts further out so they are outside the circular plate on the stand, and make a two-part split semi-circular washer-like metal backplate (with four holes for the bolts) to hold the HumanCentric fitting on the front of your stand.

That's my first thoughts. Possibly...
