Just coming back from Best Buy from picking up my iPad Pro 10.5" SP 256GB and the Moko case that I got from Amazon does not fit. The camera hole is too small. I even got an email this morning from BSCStore warning me that the case may not fit:

Dear Customer,

Thanks for your recent purchase of "MoKo case for iPad Pro 10.5"
and we are writing to let you know that the case you received may
be defective and the cutout for back camera may NOT work correctly.
To stand behind our products, we will send an adequate one in about
7 days. This will be a revised version with better fit. The back camera
openings also line up more accurately and are easier to access.

You may use the current case as a layover and there is no need to
send it back.

We apologize for any inconvenience and please feel free to contact us
if you have any further concern or questions.

Best Regards,

Anna

I just returned it back to Amazon and went to the Apple Store and got the Leather Smart Cover instead. In the meantime I'll be waiting from a trusted company like Speck or STM to have theirs available for the 10.5" iPad Pro.

I've had great experiences with MoKo cases. Even in your situation the company is sending you another one and allowing you to keep the current one. That's great customer service IMO, especially considering how reasonably priced and well made their cases are.

Is that the correct Smart Cover? Looks too small, like the 9.7 version.

my ipad has'nt arrived yet however i already noticed the cutouts were not correctly aligned ,so i returned the Moko case today. Also i'd much rather prefer a leather case; hard cases tend to scratch the edges overtime.

Got it from Amazon via the same supplier; BSCstore

I don't have my iPad yet, but I ordered the same case and received the same email. How bad is the fit though? Is it possible to modify with a dremel to hold me over until the new case comes?

Mind if i ask how you plan to protect the back ? If i can source a decent compatible back cover i'd get a Smart Cover too

I bought this case and got the same email as well... since we can keep the defective case, I ended up taking a razor blade...shaving just a TINY bit off the inside of where the camera cutout is. Was able to get it to fit perfect without issue. This will hold me over just fine until the replacement gets here.

I got the same case off Amazon and the same email. It still mostly fits, just a little snug around the camera, so I'm more than happy to use it until my replacement arrives. In my opinion, they're offering great customer service.

I'm sure even an exacto would work. Here's the current fit around the camera.

I ordered this one instead:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07125HNQS/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

This is temporary until most manufactures get their cases right and back cases compatible with Apple Smart Cover are available and proved to work properly.

I got an email from Speck and they are going to release their SmartShell Plus for 10.5 iPad Pro by the end of June.

My Dremel made quick work of the issue.
Yep, I used a dremel as well. Everything's good now.

Is it really any surprise that it doesn't fit when these places have made these things sight unseen?
Lol, I believe what the case makers do is go to the Apple Keynote and take measurements there emailing dimensions to the factories in China so they can manufacture ASAP. Without the device on hand, though, obviously can't do quality control so that comes after the products ship.

Anyway, for a simple case, as long as they've got good customer service and are making things right with the customer once they become aware of issues, I'm willing to give them my business. :)

I think there's more to it than that. I think they're buying off people on the assembly line. Apple watches the demo units like hawks at the events; there's no way someone is going in there with tools to measure it and not getting noticed.

Funny thing, I remember reading an article from one of the tech sites where the author noticed someone who was doing exactly that (I think using an iOS ruler app or something). :p

Regardless, they likely don't have access to final working devices so quality control leaves something to be desired.

Hopefully for him, it's a slight optical illusion since the case box is sitting an inch or two below the top of the iPad box and picture.

Edit: Take two credit cards and hold them each over top of the OP's picture until the cards match the size of each box. Now the cards look different in size because of a mere inch or two in spacial difference.

Can I ask how thick the Moko case is? Around the camera lens, does the case sit flush with the lens or is the lens recessed?
I have the Jetech case which fits perfectly but the rear shell is a little thicker than I would like and the camera lens is notably recessed - I prefer thinner cases that sit flush with the camera lens.

The lens is slightly recessed with the Moko case as well.
