I'm liking the Dell U2711 (as it has display port so no dual link DVI needed). I like the 27" ACD/TB display's design better...but the Dell has much more to offer.

Damn the price on the U2711. I had a 27" ACD I picked up for $600...but had to sell it when I bought my motorcycle.

The only bad thing I've heard about the U2711 is some people have said that the anti-glare coating is too aggressive, and makes small text blurry. I haven't seen it in person but I think I'd have to before I bought one.

I'm using some inexpensive AOC monitors (21.5", 1080p, LED backlit) but I am not a critical/hardcore graphics user.

This is the right combination of resolution, clarity, price and size for me.

I looked for the least expensive 23" IPS monitor I could find. I ended up with the LG IPS235V.

Display is fantastic as the colors are better than any monitor I have owned. However, the stand stinks.

@thekey - have they fixed the uniformity and black levels with IPS?

I bought an Eizo Coloredge a few years back (PVA or MVA or Super PVA panel... Can't remember which, but it's something like that.) At the time, I considered the NEC Spectraview IPS panel, but the black levels were consistently grey and all the panels I saw suffered from clouding problems. Yes the the gamut was better (slightly) and the viewing angles better, but I couldn't live with the problems. Maybe they have improved since then?
