It's getting to the stage where many longtime Mac users don't care anymore.

I'm sick of the substanceless hype, sick of the lack of decent hardware releases, sick of the pointless crippling, sick of the precious attitude that Apple have. Other manufacturers quietly release computer updates far more frequently without the sobbing of the blogosphere, Apple haven't done anything really interesting with computer hardware or other peripherals for a long time so I see no reason to give them the benefit of the doubt.

Like many people here, I buy a new Mac when I need one, I use it for my work. When I buy one, I don't post unboxing pics or get hyper because an exterior finish is 0.1 of a millimeter out of whack. It's a computer, a tool to get things done... not a lifestyle fetish statement to compensate for people's inadequacies.

Like with the Cinema Displays, what the hell is going on with those? Either get serious and competitive with other manufacturers or stop pretending that you're still in the business.

I agree completely. I wish Apple didn't have such a fanboyish user base that will simply buy a new Apple product every time an update comes along. If so, maybe they would care to look into technologies like Blu-ray if the everyone here didn't run out to buy a MacBook on the 15th and then come back to complain. Apple got their $1500, as far as they are concerned, we are all happy.

Aside from that, a rumor about a rumor. Thanks for that, now we know something's going to be released at a keynote... I would have never guessed...

Apple TELEVISION (LG deal)

or, a second vote for opening up the Mac OS to PC's

(go ahead and say it won't happen. You are the same person who said Apple would never go to Intel processors, right?)

I think they're going to introduce the iVibe so Apple geeks can play with themselves, then sell it at a 200% profit margin and make fun of the companies who have to create real products to make money.

No because the article writer got information at the macworld show from an apple employee just as Andy got his info from another apple employee at the same show.
Andy thought he was in on a major scoop but it would seem Apple was purposely leaking information to any of the reputable tech columnists at the show.

I think Apple has saved the good stuff for their own event so they could thumb their nose at IDG and Macworld.

Of course, they could have both got their info from the same employee.

That employee could be wrong or mischievous or just plain evil.
