1. 12 months is not old
2. Snapdragon 800 + 2gb ram is more than capable of running lollipop perfectly, indeed Google were so confident that it was the Nexus 5 they used to show off the OS running with bells & whistles at a smooth 60fps
Finally got the OTA update pushed to my phone today. I must say, I LOVE the UI changes in lollipop.

Yes, and I'm glad I decided to wait it out instead of attempting to install it manually. I have more peace of mind now. I like to keep things stock.
