Gotta feel sorry for Apple right now… They just click *launch* then BAM, billions of people click *download* I always think it's crazy they actually pull through quickly... Working now in Australia :D

I am attempting the download but it keeps erroring out at about 50 MB. When I click retry it starts the installer. Weird. So I delete the installer and try it again and it does the same thing.

Any thoughts?

Getting the same error on my MacPro early 2008

Is anyone getting an error that says this?

"We could not complete your purchase. The product distribution file could not be verified. It may be damaged or was not signed."

I am in the US.

I am getting the same error message on my MacPro early 2008. Tried AppleCare tech and they don't know what's going on.

Has anyone gotten any errors when downloading/installing?

Yes I keep getting: We could not complete your purchase The product distribution file could not be verified. It may be damaged or was not signed.

I tried downloading not signed into the Apple Store and also signed in and I get the same error message. Tried a Test user, tried repairing the disk, repaired permissions. Keep getting the same error.

done with install?

Could anyone, who has got it installed provide a build number for this Mountain Lion Version?
You can find the build version number under About This Mac > More Info.

Thanks in advance!

The proper build number should be: 12A269

I looked it up on the developer program page. Unfortunately I have not been able to install it because of some glitch that won't let me download it.

Same issue in the Netherlands, download fails after 50 ish MB all the time. Guess I just have to patient, or like the Apple rep told me "to buy a airport or otherwise see to find a wired connection - it is probably the throughput".

I have a iMac thats wired on a 1Gb lan and 50Mbit u/d ;)

Same here. Around 50MB the download stops. Wireless N access points allover the place here with more then enough bandwidth. This cannot be the cause. I was able to update several applications today (iPhoto, iMovie and Pages) but OSX ML fails on every attempt.

Possible solution - Firewall issue

Ok, my download is now working. What was my issue? - Working behind a ISA 2004 Firewall prevented communications. I monitored the traffic and noticed some connections being refused, that were earlier (DL start) authorised. I connected my iMac directly to the modem and it is downloading in less than 30 mins.

Being a kinda tech-guy, I am confused - all other downloads from appstore, updates etc - work just fine from behind the Firewall....

Hope this helps someone!
