I am seeing a issue with the "Cougar" name. The name is copyrighted by another company something that is unrelated to computers but in a automobile. Anyone remember Mercury Cougar.
You can't copyright a name. You can register it as a trademark, but even then it's hard to get exclusive use of common words.
For instance, Microsoft has been having an incredibly hard time getting people who sell windows (the kind with glass planes) to remove 'windows' from their company names. They're not in the same business as Microsoft is.
The same will apply here: if Apple wants to use Cougar, that company can't do anything about it because Apple isn't in the automotive industry. However, there is a company called Cougar in the computer industry-- they make PSUs. But even that I don't think will be an actual problem as there's no way for consumers to confuse the two.
