Movies purchased directly on my Apple TV do not sync back to iTunes

This is weird. I used to be able to choose Check for purchases on my MBP and then do the same at the ATV1. They would both download the same file.

Now, after reading this, I realized that was no longer working and none of my purchases were coming into the MBP at all if bought on ATV1. In fact, I have 2 ATV1's and now both do the same - no transfers.

Something must have changed. Note, I buy almost all TV shows, and rarely a rented movie.

Here is what worked for me; go to store and make sure you are logged in, I wasn't. So I logged in. Still didn't do anything. Then I went to account information and clicked "download now" and that did it.

I'm not exactly sure how I opened account info tab, but IThink it was by clicking my user name or something like that, it happened as i was trying different things.

Downloaded everything from apple tv hard drive (first device, not the new one).
