Any information on how users transitioning from Beats Music to Apple Music will be handled as far as the trial period goes?
I haven't been able to find any documentation confirming I'll be treated to the same 3 month trial. Would I be disqualified because I received the free trial (albeit only 7 days) from Beats?

My guess. No matter the service you have today, Apple Music is new and will offer a 3 month trial to anyone that wants to try the service. The fact you're coming from Beats might mean something with a transfer of funds but I doubt it, I would think you would expire Beats and start subscription with Apple 3 months from now. Just a guess.

That's kind of what I figured would be the case, but I noticed they went ahead and renewed my subscription last week. Maybe I'll get a prorated refund.

An updated Beats app will be released to migrate your account. I wish they had unleashed all of this at midnight so us night owls could do our thing then the normal people could do theirs in the morning. Now the Internet will crash with people upgrading to iOS 8.4 and uploading files to Apple Music.

Has anybody been able to migrate their account over yet?
I haven't seen a Beats app update, and I want to try Apple Music, but I'm worried if I set up a free trial or something before the migrate option is available, it won't allow me to migrate my stuff.

It didn't work for me....nothing transferred over

Ditto. When I launch Beats it now says "You have moved your Beats Music account to Apple Music..."

But absolutely none of my library or playlists from Beats is in there. This is super annoying.

Same here man..I had so much good music and playlists saved.

So it looks like at least most of the music in my library has started showing up. Just nothing I added in the last couple weeks so far. But anything I had before a couple weeks ago I realized started showing up in iTunes on my Mac, and now it's also in the Apple Music app. Playlists, however, are still lost to the ether.

Did you have to do anything? Im still at a loss for playlist and songs.

I don't think so. I just opened iTunes on my Mac and noticed that recently added had a ton of They Might Be Giants albums and got confused because I didn't remember importing any of those recently... Then I scrolled through and realized it was most of the albums I had in my Beats library. But none of them are playable on iTunes on my Mac. And they don't have album art. I checked the app on my phone and they were there with album art and playable.

I havent had luck yet, still 0

My For You page has just gotten more accurate and now I'm following about 500 musicians in Connect. All artists I had in Beats. An hour ago I was only following a few that I purchased form iTunes. It's taking some time.

I didn't even bother when moving from Beats to Apple Music didn't give me the option of signing up for the family plan. So I just signed up through Apple Music. I was much more willing to lose all of my Beats playlists than not be able to change the type of plan.

I figured it out. You need to enable iCloud Music Library in Settings. Everything immediately synced over!

Any one else finding a lot of "spam" songs? There was even Sesame Street in my library haha

When my library came up I was super confused because there was a lot of stuff I don't know of. Actually it's all songs from my playlists. In Beats library and playlists were separated, but now anything in your playlists is also in your library. I'm not liking this.

I agree, it is very confusing. Now I have to scroll through incomplete albums (from playlists) to find my complete albums in the library.

Weird. It's not doing that for me. None of the songs in the playlists I've saved have shown up in my library.

Nothing in my Beats music library has synced over. Not seamless at all. Please post if anyone gets it figure out.

I have iCloud sync enabled and I've also tried logging out and in again per Beats Support. That didn't work, however.

So I switched from Beats to Apple Music and now I have no way of streaming on my rMBP? No browser mode and no access via iTunes? Surely you can't be serious...
