Preview isn't the proper tool to view images? Who knew.
Of course it can view images, but maybe people shouldn't whinge so much when it can't index 1000 images at once or slows down on a TIFF that's 40,000 pixels wide. Just as you wouldn't get all shocked to discover TextEdit can't handle a multi-page layout with linked images and complex text styles.

Not all images, obviously. But explaining the obvious is generally a waste of time for all involved.
My M1 PRO takes forever to properly display a large JPG file. About the same about of time on at 2019 MacBook air.

Not really, Preview is just what its called, Preview. I dont need to open adobe to make sure I have the correct image.

Apple selling 4k "Pro" machines that can't open a basic "Pro" image on their stock software is a joke.

And Windows can? With stock software?
