Simple, iPhone haters get more pageviews as on the fence people tend to go tehre to find the cons, and people who arent getting the iphone support it too.

Anyone who would go to MSNBC for any useful information is deluded. After all the MS stands for MICROSOFT. What do you expect?

Or MSNbc AHA! ok maybe not but Geekbrief's very own Cali Lewis will be appearing on MSNBC to talk about her iPhone! (when she gets it!)

i like how you not provide a link but provide an image without the address bar shown.

With the massive hype the iPhone has been receiving, there is bound to be a degree of backlash.

Just wait until people get their iPhones home later and start trying to set them up. If there are any problems at all, expect there to be all hell let loose on the forums :D

Something kinda cute

This morning on the Today show (NBC) they had a segment on how Microsoft is working on their next AMAZING technology. They showed some guy having trouble using a regular smartphone keyboard and complaining about it. They did a blurb about the amazing big ass microsoft table. THen they had a snippet with a Microsoft "Audio Geek" (as read a sign on his door.) Audio geek was discussing sound issues... and on his desk there sat a 12" Powerbook...

after viewing the vid, i don't think MSNBC's hating at all. the vid simply points out that there are people will not purchase an iphone.

hehe, I didn't want you to watch their video, just see a pic of their hate :)

and did you expect people to discuss this thread fairly without providing the source?

Well, with a link it's likely to change right away... Someone coming a little later and seeing the thread will get a link to Saturday's news or Sunday's news.

say what?

(above link is the vid that the OP is referring to)

The topic was not the video, but the website

Absolutely, you zeroed in on the video, and not the presentation that the website was making

Agreed. The video doesn't really bash the iPhone, it just points out how there are a lot of people are not going to be standing in line for it. That, and how that guy really wants to hold on to the past.

While it's true that most casual MSNBC surfers are just going to see the title and move on, it isn't right to say that MSNBC is hating on the iPhone. The video doesn't really say anything bad about the phone at all. In fact, it sort of praises the fact that it's a revolutionary product. If you hadn't see the video first, why did you post it and then not expect a reaction to a bad thread?

I don't dispute your impression of the video.

I was talking about how it was presented. The blurb implies that the 290 million rest of us don't get the hype. I took it to mean they are saying the iPhone does not matter to anybody but Mac fanboys.

my dear, the center of your image is the vid itself. besides, why did you say:

hehe, I didn't want you to watch their video, just see a pic of their hate :)

i provided a direct link to the vid in reply to Billy Boo Bob, showing that a link to the vid is possible.

also, providing a link 23 mins after the thread has started doesn't lead to a fair discussion.

I did not mention one word about the video. The thread title mentioned "website" not "video".

The video you are referring to has a description that makes it appear that no one cares about the iPhone and then further down the list is a video about the Achille's Hill of the iPhone.

You're just assuming that I have not seen the video, and assuming what I expect, when in fact I was not even talking about the content of the video.

My mom actually called me this morning and asked if I was 'sure I wanted to get the iPhone'. She had read in the newspaper this morning that the battery was not replaceable, could not send pictures, etc. I told her you could email pictures and who knows if they will enable MMS at a later time, and my current 6700 from Alltel has MMS disabled and I can't send photos now as it stands. I have an original 30gig Video ipod and the battery still works. I have a 1 year old 6700 and I have not had to replace the battery yet.

Exactly... They're the type of drive-by that will lead a story strong and bold with "Child kill by SUV"... Then buried near the end of the story it will say that the driver was cleared of all charges because the kid ran right out in front of him, and witnesses agreed... But they want to make sure you understand right at the start that it's that damn SUVs fault.

That is what PMSNBC is all about.
