Music App on iOS search defaults to Apple Music

It is a classic Dark pattern, as increasingly often used in iOS unfortunately.

...but we all know what is really important to Apple.

Yes, seriously. Unless you do nothing all day long except search your own music library...

It was an actual question out of curiosity. Everybody uses their phone differently and it's not that much of a hardship for ME to tap Library.

The search defaults to Apple Music when it shouldn’t be doing so which is the main issue on hand here.

iOS 18.3 came out today and this dumb "bug" is still there which cements it for once and for all that this isnt a bug as we suspected all along and is an intentional change by Apple

I was noting a change since my 1/1/25 comment in this thread…

"I agree it's not a bug. Non-susbscribers are being steered toward Apple Music.
In CarPlay, tapping the album name formerly brought up the album track list, and it worked for all tracks. In iOS18.2, it only works for purchased tracks, and takes you to Apple Music info for the artist."

It seems like I spoke too soon. This “bug” is still present even in iOS 18.2 Golden Master / Release Candidate. Arghhhh
