music + incoming call = embarrisment?

I listen to my music discreetly. But people should listen to music they feel, shouldn't matter what it is. As a musician I can say music is universal, and anybody with ears can listen to it. If you feel embarrassed than maybe your surrounding by the wrong people. I don't personally like Celine Dion, but I do like Mariah Carey. Anything wrong? does that make me anything? I don't think so.

It only is a problem if you're claiming "Man status" but also watch a lot of Lifetime, Oxygen and TLC.

That could be a flag.

I do remember when TLC was The Learning Channel - and it out did Discovery when it came to science content - now it's just HGTV with a more feminine twist.

I could be wrong on this, but I thought that even when you are on a call, you can access the other features. Try hitting the home button then go to ipod and stop the song while on the call. Sorry if I'm mistaken about this.

Negrodamus says you'll all be ashamed of your own taste in music in 20 years. That is fine since popular music, by definition, is disposable. How many of you danced to the "Macarena" or barked along to "Who let the dogs out?" and how many are willing to admit this?

LOL. At least someone sees the error of their ways. Personally (and if you choose to hear this as smug that's fine) I hated that crap then and I hate it today. I still love the music I listened to as a kid, albeit with different ears.


Also on the rap ring story ... since when do custom ringtones play for the caller? Every system I've ever called someone on -I hear a generic ring. Did you mean their answering machine/voice mail message had rap? If a vendor used a rap song on their voice mail I'd drop them as a vendor as well. Not because I hate rap (just 98% of it) but because it is indeed unprofessional. If it was a surfshop or a tatooshop or some appropriate business, yeah whatever... but 5+ figure transactions type businesses should know better even if the business is slinging crack cocaine.
