Most likely it is because I have dozens of Chrome tabs with videos and various website open, waiting for me to see them and close them but I'm not sure why it has crashed only now while I have had them open for months and months.

Would anyone here be able to read the crash report and helping me figure out what caused the crash?

What are the symptoms of the "crash"? Frozen keyboard and mouse? iMac shuts down suddenly and restarts? Provide as much detail as you can. Any connected external disks or hubs? etc.

Disconnects devices (headphones, mouse), turns black but still on and then restarts with the crash error message (it says to press a key to continue the reboot); also it has crashed again once I reopened my Chrome tabs all at once

Have you turned on the memory saver in Chrome? Read all about it:

I think it has started to be turned on since a recent update because I have noticed some tabs icons had the "ghost" circle around them, if you know what I mean.

Sorry for being so impertinent as to ask, but why is it necessary to keep dozens of tabs open for months and months...?

Honestly it isn't, at the time I think I will come back later, the next day at worst but I always do something and then it accumulates

Just curious but where are you going to send the report? I've seen etrecheck reports read in the forums but don't recall Apple's.
When you find out let the forum know :D
It's the window that says that the computer crashed and a summary appears and I can press ok to send to Apple servers

AAAhhhh, that's for them and you will never get a reply. I would go with etrecheck. You could have it read here or 🍎 forums.
but I meant that, could I get a reply here if I shared the text that appeared onto the window?

I’m one of those people who always closes tabs as soon as I’m done with them. Instead, I have a large amount of bookmarks/favourites.

The way I see it, the contents of a webpage are outdated the second after they are done loading (except for a small amount of pages made to dynamically update content), so there is no point in keeping them open.

Respectfully, instead of asking if someone can read it, just upload it and we’ll have a look. It’s wasting time to go back and forth like this for 19 messages.

I can read through it and tell you what happened. Not necessarily why.

Everything crashes every now and then. Both my 2020 iMac and my M1 Pro MPB occasionally crash. If it has only happened "a couple times" I would not worry about it. If it happens repeatedly then you have an issue.

My take from many posts of crash reports is that it is usually possible to narrow down the area of the crash, but it is very difficult to diagnose the actual cause.

Im not as fluent in this as other people here are. But when I plug the info into Bing Chat it singles out the Google Chrome Helper sub-process as the problem. It apparently handles the graphics processing in chrome.

If anyone can correct me then they probably have the better answer.

Most likely it is because I have dozens of Chrome tabs with videos and various website open, waiting for me to see them and close them but I'm not sure why it has crashed only now while I have had them open for months and months.

Would anyone here be able to read the crash report and helping me figure out what caused the crash?
Are you using a second display?

Google Chrome caused the crash, according to the logs. Basically Google Chrome attempted to address a part of the graphic memory that was already being used, and the computer shut down.

You said it happened "a couple of times". How many times did it happen so far?

Also, Does it always happen with Chrome? If so, send a bug report to Google, the people who make Chrome. Does it happen with other programs? If there is, your graphic card might be failing. Have you tried using an external graphics card?
