Sorry, I misled you with the name "system profiler."

I meant the utility (In Applications/Utilities) that let's you look at CPU usage by process, current memory usage, etc, etc. I got the name for this utility confused with "system profiler."

Anyone remember the real name (I'm not at my Mac now, so I can't find it).

Edit: It's called "Activity Monitor" (heh, again using my faulty memory, but I think I have it right this time).

AlmostThere... you won't believe that I didn't know about gprof till 5 minutes ago:confused:

more or less it seems something like Shark (that i've already used) but I don't know if it can provide some more info about I/O...
