Apostrophe needs to be in the same keyboard face as the letters. So annoying...

Disagree. 99% of the time the auto-correct works, and I'd rather have a 100% of the time larger keyboard than the apostrophe key out there and a smaller keyboard... Plus you can hold down on the "," key to bring up the apostrophe.

actually auto correction is my fourth complaint, and probably the biggest. It is actually correcting words I Type correctly to completely different words!

Yes, the "I" capitalization thing is a real bummer. I'm not sure yet if it is a software thing, or if I'm typing too fast on this thing for it to bring up the autocorrection soon enough before leaving a small "i" in it's place.

And yes, the swipe upwards on the comma for an apostrophe is an excellent tip that all iPad users should be aware of, it cuts down on the initial out-of-the-box swearing...

And yes yes, the Safari lack of tabs and page reloads is a mind blower, why they don't fix this in software update 3.3, which we should already have by the way, is beyond me. Wait for 4.0 to fix this? You gotta be kidding me! Also, give me tabs!!! If Atomic Browser can do it, why can't Safari?

And another thing-- where the hell are the iDisk and MobileMe gallery apps, not to mention the nice big juicy Remote app? Apple releases the iPad with knowledge of it well ahead of any third party developer, and their own signature iPhone apps are nowhere to be found on launch day? WTF are they waiting for? Kind of inexcusable when you think about it, although i still love my iPad just the same... :)))

Neat tip about the swipe of the key to get the apostrophe. It's way easier than holding the button down. I also experience the lack of consistent capital I's. One thing they need to nail down is the safari thing. I run forum spy and when i return to that window I'm faced with it having to catch itself back up. Real annoying. I'm not sure why there was a need for two of the same key that lets you switch from alpha to numerical keys. It's somewhat bizarre to me.

Just hold the "," key for a second, it shifts to an apostrophe.

You can also do the slide trick to access punctuation, tap the .?123 button and slide your finger to the symbol you want. When you lift your finger, you get the alpha keys again.

You rawk, my friend

The safari Page reload is so random but yet so invasive. I agree with others that it must have to do with ram but for switching back and forth between webpages it's really annoying.

The shift key placement and smaller a key need to be rethought. Why not make the a as long as the return /send key, it's just blank space anyway.

Ambient lighting could be better. I will probably turn this off because in low like it's constantly trying to figure it out and gives screen flicker.

Funny thing is, I don't experience any of the problems you mentioned. The only one that I experience is the small shift key, which I completely agree with. Safari pages don't
reload for me, however I don't have many pages open at a time.

Sent foam my iPad.;)

The word correction feature will insert apostrophes for most words that have them. You can type wont and it will correct to won't for example. That takes care of a few apostrophes but not all. It can be annoying as well. If you want to type roof cant (slope) it will spell it can't and then you have to go back and correct it.

Another complaint for me is the multitasking. I have the keyboard and realized I could type my report through pages. However when the actual time came for me to do it, I couldn't because it was nearly impossible to switch between safari and pages.

Agreed. Allow the option for us to customize the keyboard. Would make things much easier. Generally I like the layout but for my use, i would change a few things.
