for those that seem to think even for the price the machine should be perfect its a machine and it can have flaws some may have more perfect machines than others its how the world works and how anything man made is never perfect its a fact of life

............ it's fine!

I can't see any yellow tinge, the HD is quiet, the screen is not cracked, there's no flickering, everything works, .......

The screen is awesome!

I'm happy. :)

BTW its a week 52 and was dispatched from the UK (to the UK) 2 days earlier than estimated. Ordered 31/12 to save the vat increase.

:)

Hey Romeo, what activities do you do with the system? Any video or motion graphic production (such as final cut pro or after effects)?

If so, how do you find the performance of the i5 is for these things?

congrats! im fairly certain the majority of yellow tinge issues are gone.

happy macing!

I'm absolutely certain you're wrong. However, since it wasn't a new issue to begin with...

People just aren't used to such a huge screen at this point, so the chances of a more obvious tinge are greater. However, there's no such thing as a uniform LCD, no matter what people here say. If you don't notice it, great! My tinge doesn't bother me, as it doesn't bother a lot of people.

That's not to say those people who ARE complaining don't have the right to complain, of course...

never said it was a "new" issues. the yellow tinge has been around for yonks!

i dont have a yellow tinge. i have a tiny bit of bleeding but as you said no screen is perfect. i dont care for it at all, its perfect for me. the only time i see it is when the whole screen is black/grey-how often does that happen!?

the yellow tinge problem from these revision of iMacs was a software/firmware issue, which has apparently been solved. the rest of the tinge problems will be directly related to the hardware i.e. LCD panel/backlight (supposedly).
