Sorry folks; I think we hope wrong ... it only means that iCloud end in 2050; but you still have to pay each year whatever option you choose ... at least iCloud might live longer compared to .mac and MobileMe

I don't think you're right. Mine says 2050 as well.

I would be glad to be wrong ... ;)
And Apple could effort it to be generous ... maybe a kind of bonus for us customer; to be announced during the next financial meeting in October ? Nah; thats just a dream.

poll?

can we do a poll? how many people here with this result had/have had MM, .mac, etc?

Well that's just wonderful. Now I already have something to worry about when I'm 86. I'm sure the 2050 is a glitch, but I thought it would have been fixed by now. I guess they have higher priorities just now, namely maps. Luckily they have another 38 years to sort this one out.

Mine just switched from 9/30/2050 to

9/30/2013.

So we get and extra year from the glitch.

Good PR.

Here you go, good old Apple :)

"Dear Nick,

When you moved your MobileMe account to iCloud, we provided you with a complimentary storage upgrade beyond the standard 5GB that comes with an iCloud account to help you with the transition. Originally, this storage upgrade was set to expire on September 30, 2012.

As a thank you to our former MobileMe members, we will continue to provide you with this complimentary storage upgrade at no charge, for an additional year, until September 30, 2013. No action is required on your part. For complete details, please read this article.

Thank you again for using iCloud,

iCloud Team
