My iMac's monitor just suddenly turned bright green!

Okay so, my screen keeps turning from Green to Purple, and at the moment it's fine. But it's off and on. The whole screen changes, and the purple looks like 'white noise'. I took a screen shot and it looks normal. Any idea what's wrong? D:
