If coconutBattery shows 102.7% - I would worry -just monitor the health of the battery over the next few weeks.
It shows 102.7% in the history and 100% on the main window. I wonder why…

Except there is zero reason to have anxiety. As long as it is above 80% when it reaches 500 cycles, its normal. Some batteries may stay at 100% for 400 cycles and plumet. Others might plumet to 85% within 100 cycles and sit there for 400 more cycles. Every single battery is different.

My 14Pro is at 95% after 180 cycles. My wife's 14Pro is at 100% after 190 cycles. I'm not concerned about it.
But you just said whatever I’m having is not normal lol

That being said, Apple definitely should remove the battery health feature from iOS because it seems to be quite inaccurate at times and just gives some users unnecessary anxiety lol
It’s good as a general indicator. But I agree it should just show “normal” “near end of life” and “needs replacement”

Thousands of posters ask this same question across the Internet every day and the answer is always the same:

Unless your iPhone's battery capacity is genuinely decreasing at a rate where it would hit <80% before reaching 1000 charge cycles then your battery is an average iPhone battery, no better or worse.

With what you've written here, there's not a single reason to suspect there's anything wrong.

Additionally, the number of full charging cycles is the main culprit in wearing down your iPhone's battery. So all the "battery life insider tips" about only charging 5W and keeping it between 20%-80%, or whatever, won't do much if anything at all as these kinds of rituals won't circumvent the charging and discharging cycles that are necessary to use your iPhone.

Idk, my friend got the same model like 4 months ago and uses her phone 2x more than me yet hers is still at 100%. Makes me feel that something is wrong with my unit, but Apple won’t do anything obviously
You cannot compare to others just like that. Like I mentioned, there are so many factors involved and the measuring tools cannot get accurate definite numbers to begin with.

99% battery health doesn't have any effect on the phone performance. You're worrying about a number for no logical reasons. If you're adamant that there's something wrong, sell your phone and get a new one. Or get an Android and you don't have to worry about battery health (since there's no indicator for it).

For what it’s worth, my 14 pro max which I use heavily has over 100 cycles since Nov 25 and is on 103% capacity.

I may have said this on here already but batteries comprising “dumb” chemicals monitored by a “smart” chip are bound to have manufacturing tolerances.

Either way it’s just not worth the trouble of micromanaging your phone habits and/or worrying about some % going down in the settings app or coconut battery.

Its more than 6 months now and I would be surprised at your usage pattern, TikTok all day, Twitter and Instagram, browsing, listening Spotify, YouTube, 5G under pressure etc.

Yes, your battery is gonna be affected. But guess what, use the phone and don't worry about stuff like that. You know who should be worrying about battery health? Me with my iPhone X from 2017 with 75% and I use this thing day and out. I don't put it on the charger until 7 PM every evening when I get home. Thankfully, I have a spare charger at work, so lately I am able to do some top ups during lunch break.

I wouldn't worry too much unless you're losing like 2 points a month consistently. I've had mine not change for months and then go down a couple points in a month. I used to worry about it more but it's not worth the anxiety.

But if we wanna be technical: Bought my 13 Pro in November 2021 and it's currently at 86% (iOS) and 89% (coconutBattery). At the current rate of decrease, in two years I'll be at around 81% battery health. It's not the best but I reckon it's all right. I do live in a country where it's pretty warm year round and I'm sure that's had an impact.

My 13pro went to 89% after a year but I haven’t notice any difference to how long it lasts. Sometimes it can go up to a day and a half with normal usage. I guess you don’t need to bother much unless you experience sudden shutdowns.

14 Pro Max shows 98% after 3 months (got it 15 of January’23). Doesn’t really bother me as long as it’ not affecting real life usage. Same two days on the battery with ~ 8 hrs screen on time.

I’ll be honest, my battery percentage on my 14 Pro has not been great compared to my 12 pro. My 12 Pro after year and a half was at 97% and my release date 14 Pro is at 96% and I am not a power user. My sister who got hers in October her battery life is still 100% and she’s had way more charges than I have and she’s a power user.

At first it really bugged me because the standby time sucks. I can charge it to 100% before bed and take it off the charger overnight and then in the morning it’s at 85-90% battery. My 12 Pro I could do the same and by the morning it would be 98% at the most. I charged both phones the same way.

Personally, I’ve decided to not let it bug me and not check it anymore. If I start noticing that the phone dies much faster, then it will be a problem, but I haven’t noticed even with the drop in percentage a huge difference if any in battery life.

If I was going to keep this phone for multiple years, then it would be a much bigger concern but I plan to upgrade to the 15 Pro when it comes out in September so in reality for my use case it’s not that big a deal as long as the battery life doesn’t start getting bad before time to upgrade.

My 14 Pro Max just dropped to 99% after 5 months. The 13 Pro Max was sitting at 100% for 10 months…

I charge it exactly the same as the 13 Pro Max MagSafe only, from usually 20% to 80-90%. I only fully charge it when I think I need that extra charge.

Traditionally this means, battery health will drop rapidly now. At least it was like that on all my other iPhones before.
I’m disappointed already.

Unhappy with the “upgrade” in general, after all it’s an iPhone 13 PM with an improved main camera but smaller battery.
It should be rather called iPhone 13 Pro MaxS.
