"This Won't be a Big Issue"

Well, with this little tidbit from the USA-Today interview, hopefully things are in the works to sort this all out, though it sounds like it may be a few weeks down the road.

USAToday: What about corporate e-mail? I understand that's an issue for many consumers, who may not be able to hook up to their company networks?
Mr. Jobs: You'll be hearing more about this in the coming weeks. We have some pilots going with companies with names you'll recognize. This won't be a big issue.

Well, wadda ya know - I sent that little snippet to chakote just 1/2 an hour ago - from my Exchange Outlook Web Access account - which is what our company system is on - where I work in IT - with chakote.:p

This is one of the reasons I love working for a small company that doesn't run Exchange. Our corporate email is IMAP/POP so its a no brainer, it also helps that I'm in the IT department that is responsible for the mail servers. :)

Or a small company with no need for an IT dept - Mac only :)

pilotError: Your IT guys must love you. You seem to be just the type of "Damn the torpedoes, full steam ahead!" user that brings down the whole network because you wanted to connect your shiny new toy. In IT we call those users "The bane of our existence" or "Those who keep us employed". Thanks.

Your Welcome! :p :D ;)

Truth be told, my IT department does hate me. I somehow manage to fit outside of every security policy and standards mold they create. Usually after a while they give up and just give me full access because I require it.

My previous post was in jest btw. As I see it, my iPhone is for my personal use, when I go home, I don't want to be in contact any more. Did that for too many years, you don't get that time back.

Although, there's been a few reports from various places including Big Steve himself that there is going to be some sort of announcement in regards to the MS stuff. Apparently there's a few big players field testing it. I would imagine that Apple would want to wedge a toe in the door to big business since they have no presence there.

Besides, I've never seen a large company that ran to implement a product on day 1, especially a phone... It takes time to fill out those purchase orders!
