Here's my site that I threw up, hosted on my normal web server. It's not too bad, but I still prefer Wordpress by far. I realize the target audience though: people who want to make a web site but have no idea how to. For someone like that, iWeb is perfect.
Nice site, and thanks for posting. Great photos btw!

Thanks! I appreciate the photo comments; I'm trying to get better. To everyone: how do the load times for my site compare with those hosted on .mac?

loaded much faster than mac hosted iwebs. Wish they would add a close window button to the photo pages though.

BTW, good looking site. Hope you enjoyed yourself in our fair city.

definitely cheney... notice the ambulance :p

LOL!

To be honest, as DC "native" the ambulance is "normal".

As a side note; these motorcades are a pain in the you know what for us locals. Not to mention the pain when they decide to go shopping. For crying out loud they are just elected officials. Now they could change water in to wine that would be another issue. :)

I'm pretty sure it was Cheney. The reason I suspect this is because I read in the paper the next day that he had to give a speech somewhere at 2:30. We saw the motorcade around 4, so he was probably on his way back.

There were 2 limos the were identical, I guess so you don't know which one he's in.

The security was awesome, it made you feel safe in the city. I remember going to the whitehouse at night, and you could faintly see a guy dressed all in black on top of the white house walking around with machine gun in hand. He also used nightvision (probably) binoculars, i dont know, it just felt like something out of a Bond movie. It was cool :D

(and no.. I'm liberal)

.

You get used to it when you live in the area. And try working for a shop that they want to visit. Such a pain. These people are not Gods for crying out loud!

Every new iweb site I have seen has shared this characteristic. The graphics come in like you're on a 56K connection.
Most, if not all the graphics in iWeb-created websites are huge PNG files. They aren't even compressed to the level of JPEGs or GIFs. One of the first iWeb site had a front page graphic that was 500KB. This is ridiculous for a 56K modem user to navigate. Apple thinks everyone is on broadband, which will limit the usefulness of this program.
Here's to the Crazy Ones

My experience with iweb:

1. I tried the blog templates.. all were fine but surprisingly i couldn't edit the date of the post. i tried everything but I couldn't change the date!.. this is a very serious limitation.

2. Did any one notice the pre-histroic url's that iweb generates for blog templates? have a look at my test page here.. http://www.techlogy.net/personal/D3...676/612F815C-BC6B-489E-9635-8B7D3054A2B3.html
yes this is a url generated by iweb!

3. I couldn't edit the original template and use a custom one for myself. I think Apple will have to incorporate this feature as it is very cumbersome to adjust the layout each time u have to post an entry in the blog without a photo...

4. There is no comment feature in the blog templates.. i understand we need scripts for this. but a small html database can do the trick..

I have a question:

How do I make a few changes to a particular template and save it so that I can directly use the custom template rather than making changes each time?
