am i missing something? why is this not available on either of the 2018/2020 11 inch Ipad Pro?
Because Apple wants you to buy the $300+ Magic Keyboard and Logitech needs to play in Apple's sandbox. :)

Also, perhaps the 2018/2020 iPad Pro market is not big enough for Logitech. The keyboard/trackpad combo is the same for iPad 10.2", iPad Air 3 10.5" and iPad Pro 10.5" so that's a much bigger install base.

I should have been more specific as the magnets are strong enough that you can lift the iPad from the keyboard without it coming loose. The problem is that the range of movement on the keyboard's hinge is extremely limited and any attempt to push it beyond that range will make the keyboard come off so it's not just that you can't wrap the keyboard behind the iPad but any uneven surface (for example your thighs) will make it start to come apart from the case if you're not careful.

I have my Combo Touch and I have no idea what you’re talking about. Moving it around on my lap is not going to make the keyboard come apart from the case. I’ve also watched a ton of YouTube reviews and not a single reviewer mentioned this.

I think this is GREAT on my lap. The kickstand is infinitely adjustable. I like to sit in my recliner with my legs outstretched and watch TV with my iPad. This is perfect for that.

Posted pics of this keyboard with alternate cases on another thread. Figure they might be helpful here, too.

Yep, no need to take off the case. I actually need the case on to use as stand.

Mind, while it's not really possible to reduce the angle of the iPad, it's possible to increase it/make it straighter by putting something between the back shell and the cover stand (I used Post-It pads).

OK, glad I’m not the only one that thinks the magnet is a bit weak on the Logitech combo. My daughter has this keyboard for her air. It’s fairly easy to have it dislodge if she is a bit fidgety with it on her lap. And while you can pick the iPad up by the keyboard, the slightest wiggle, shake, or acceleration will pull the keyboard off. Wish it was just a bit stronger.

I FINALLY got my Magic Keyboard for my 11” pro today. So far I really like it. Here’s some quick thoughts/comparisons:
- It’s a bit cramped in the top row of buttons, my fingers often touch the iPad while typing. 12” may be better
- Really like the row of function buttons that the Logitech has for easy brightness adjust, etc. But they wouldn’t fit with design of apple keyboard. Typing feels great though!
- Magnet on apple keyboard is super strong, wish the Logitech connection was even half the strength.
- Also, this keyboard is heavier than I was expecting. Easy to detach, but then iPad is naked. I like the Logitech design better, in that when you detach keyboard, at least there is still some back case for protection.
- I like the fabric finish feel on Logitech better than the weird vinyl feel
- Trackpad - love it, way more useful than I thought it would be.
- Seems about $100 over priced?

All in all, especially considering the price difference, if Logitech made a combo touch keyboard for the 11” pro, I’d probably go with that. But, I really like having the keyboard/trackpad attachment, turns the iPad into mini (but heavy) laptop.

Yep, I find the magnets pretty weak as well. I have a 10.5" ASK and magnets on that one are much stronger. That said, my main usage is on a desk so not a big issue for me.

Very interested in getting the logitech combo touch for my ipad air 3. Worried that it will make my macbook pro 13 2015 feel redundant though!

Logitech usually includes a very useful row of iOS function keys that are bizarrely missing from the Apple offerings.

Yeah, my 12.9' Slim Folio Pro has such a row of function keys and I've come to use and like them so much that I'd be reluctant to buy another case without them, e.g. the Magic Keyboard.
