Dude, last time I checked your thread was about editing files of OS X. This is different.Rokem said:thanks for stealing my thread https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/238961/
Obviously you did not read the thread.....From trying it out it looks like somebody put a GUI on those same script files and then posted it. It might have been nice if this was mentioned at the beginning as being leveraged off that thread........However; No Offense is to the Programmer or anybody else!ChrisG said:Dude, last time I checked your thread was about editing files of OS X. Bill......
Which firmware are you talking about? If you mean the SMC firmware, I've already installed that.Pressure said:If you haven't installed the latest firmware for your computer, then CoreDuoTemp and iStat/Pro cannot read the temperature correctly.
http://macbricol.free.fr/coreduotemp/index.php?rub=faqCoreDuoTemp shows a tempearture inferior at 30 degrees Celsius, which is clearly wrong ?
Sorry, no solution is possible, it's a bug of Intel ! A restart can repair that failure.

What script is that? I've tried restarting the computer, but the fans don't kick in normally now. It still runs on the modified SMC dataSilentwave said:I had to run the default script again and they ramped up normally.
take off you thermal protection suit and gently feel it with the back of you handMoonCow said:how do you check the temperature of the macbook?
MalcolmJID said:Just having a look through the Apple Discussion Board topics on this (where the creator of smcFanControl posts updates), am I right in saying that the program just alters the MINIMUM settings of the fan, but the normal stuff still applies, i.e., when it heats up the fans will still ramp up, then back down?
