He's probably single at this point.

This forum needs a sarcasm system.

Or he may have typed that on his MBA that was balanced on his gf's back while he was doing her.

Just getting sick of anti-american sentiment all over the boards when it should be confined to the community boards at least...

why can't we all just get along?

Get use to it mate. Try living outside the states. There are whole countries with the mentality. I have missed out on some great jobs because the interviewer had this view. Just note, I am British. So I have missed out on great jobs because the interview didn't like American's because I am British. Yeah!

Not saying it is right but just sucks but I the poster was joking.

OP congratulations on the MBA. They just rule!

Rather than spend your time posting "jokes" that nobody finds funny you should have used the extra time that you spent online to post this thread to go and pick up your MBA. Us Internet people are busy and don't have time to read threads that were intended as a "joke" if that's what you call it. I guess the "joke" was on us for wasting our time with such nonsense. If you ever need any real help making a decision, don't count on us as you've proven yourself to be a "funny" jokester.

Geez, people...
I was half joking on asking this in the first place. I was willing to go, but I was little tired, so asked this as a joke. But, yea, I went and I am posting this on my MBA.

Wait 2 days... to get it delivered... go see your women now not later after picking up a slab of metal.

My women is much more important to me than a slam of metal...

edit: nevermind looks like you got the slab of metal instead

Glad you got the MBA. I hope you didn't have much trouble with the GF. That was always asking for trouble though, since once you get a new Apple laptop, you need to play with it for hours.

This thread was actually great for laughs until people started putting very serious posts.

The next woman will be along pretty soon. How long was it between MBA updates?

I'm sure he is going to love the implication of being a "player" (is that what its called nowadays???)

p.s. if english is not your first language, my apologies - it just came out funny the way you worded the post ;)

I dont mean the term "Women" as an item although reading it I guess it sounds like it. I am from Newcastle UK I am a geordie its just the way we talk. I call my gf my women or girl or lass sometimes.. its just the way we talk. I have been with my girlfriend since I was 15 at school I am now 21 and on my last year at university.

So I didnt mean it as a player sort of term, I generally mean that seeing your women (girlfriend) is pretty much more important or atleast to me it is then picking up a machine that would arrive at my door in a couple of days anyway.

hmmm.... I think his point is that 'women' means more than one - so the post implied he had a harem at home. I know we aren't supposed to correct grammar here, but sometimes small mistakes can change what was meant in interesting ways..... :)

Kick-A$$ Fed Ex Story

I also was getting my Air delivered by FedEx on Friday - I didn't realize that MacMall had set up a Direct Signature delivery, meaning I had to sign for it upon delivery.

I got home at 12:30 pm and missed it by an hour. The note said I could pick it up at their facility after 6pm. So I was mad that I missed it, but happy that I could get it later the same day.

So at about 5:00 pm my doorbell rings. It's FedEx - the guy said he wanted to try delivering it one more time before taking it back to the facility!

WOW!!!

What he didn't know at the time, was that I had injured my knee pretty severely that morning, and I was going to have my wife drive me to the facility because they needed MY PHOTO ID.

Needless to say, the guy is truly a great FedEx employee!

Gotta love FedEx,

UPS on the other hand, delayed my package twice, from Thursday to Friday, so i left work early on Friday, waited all day, and realized it was in local delivery office but won't be delivered til Monday.

Worst thing is, i can't go pick it up even tho it is less than 5km away, they need to make an attempt to deliver first and they won't do it until Monday.

Well that blows - if it's already there, you should be able to go get it!

Did you already try going to get it?

If it makes you feel better, a couple of years ago a utility company in New Brunswick (Eastern Canada) lost about 5 million dollars on a contract due to a misplaced comma. The contract had, of course, been vetted by countless lawyers and management staff. Just one, solitary comma.

Cheers

Yes that's what I was getting at. I initially thought you were referring to "women" as plural. LOL. Anyways, moot point now ;)

Funny Story. Several years ago when then President Bush visited Ottawa, the White House sent up a security team to work with the RCMP to pre-clear the media credentials. The Secret Service was surprised to learn that the RCMP didn't ask for a reporters "Race" on the security forms. They were dismayed to learn that the RCMP not only would not, but legally could not, change the forms to include to it. The RCMP pointed out that most of the reporters could claim at least 3 "Races", that the reporters would very likely make somethin up in any case as a protest, and that the RCMP would have no way of checking the entries for accuracy. Prez Bush managed to escape Canada safely, despite this glaring breakdown in security. :)

What is THIS supposed to mean. This comes off racist. Reported.

I was not aware that "American" is a race, and therefore do not consider myself to have made a racist comment. I've yet to receive any follow up from MacRumors since I was reported.
